    Wal-mart....

That's strange ? I know some people don't care for Wal-Mart for various reason. But their return policy is pretty good. They have always taken returns back no questions asked. My son works there and he has told me crazy stories of people returning VERY well used items. Wal-Mart's TLC...

    D/A backing plates (5 inch)

I just ordered a Griot's Garage D/A. I'm turning trusty Meguiars G110 into a dedicated carpet scrubber with a brush attachment. I would like some "real world" advice from people who actually use 5 inch backing plates. I will be using 5.5 inch pads on the Griot, which 5 inch backing plate do...

    Epoxy for garage floors

I did my garage floors about 3 years ago and they still look great. I put this floor through some abuse. My only complaint is that I allowed a puddle of anti-freeze to dry on the floor and it permanently stained the floor. I roughly spent about $200 dollars for material and...

    Baking Soda

I used to sprinkle carpet fresh (baking soda) on the carpets in my home once a month. After a good vacuuming they did smell fresher. A few years ago I pulled up my carpets to do an acid etched stain project. Under the carpet there was so much carpet fresh I could write my name in it.

    Which Steamer to buy

I have the Wagner. For the price it's not bad. It takes awhile to heat up. You get about 45 minutes to hour use from it. I'm not sure how long it's going to last. I hope that it last until it I buy a more professional model. Again for the money it is not bad at all.

Opinions on using APC to clean leather??

I have had really good results using Meguiars APC plus 10:1 and a white terry cloth towel. Once clean I go over it with a leather conditioner.

My car got accepted to Dallas Autorama need some tips

WARNING !!! This not my recommendation but merely a question. The reason for not waxing recently painted vehicles is due to it slowing down or stopping the out gassing of the fresh paint. If it is a one day car show could one apply a coat of wax to a car that was recently painted and the...

    Foam Cannon Fitting ???

I recently bought a gas powered 2600 psi pressure washer. It's a Troy Bilt XP series with a Honda motor. I want to buy the Foam Cannon here from Autogeek but none of the pictures of the fitting look like mine. Mine looks similar to an air compressor fitting just with an o-ring and more...

How much to charge to buff this car?

I totally agree with everything you said but do you get a little nervous working without insurance? I'm starting a detailing business. Up until now I have only detailed family, friends, and my own vehicles. So I haven't been charging much. I do good work but I need to increase my speed...

    soap for pressure washer ???

I just bought Troy Bilt pressure washer. It's 2600 psi, 2.3 gpm, Honda GCV engine and an axial cam pump. :awesome: It's not the best but it should serve my purposes for now. My question is, this pressure washer comes with 2 on-board detergent tanks. They each hold a half gallon (32...

DIY paint job. Anyone here ever tried it?

I have painted a few cars but I'm no expert. The bigest factor to a quality paint job is the prep. Remove as much of the trim and anything else that does not get painted. Take your time to make sure the ENTIRE surface to be painted is completly cleaned and sanded.
