It looks like your filter hangs straight down so here's a tip that might help for next time. Fill the oil filter with oil, and your engine won't be oil starved while the filter fills up for the first few seconds when you start it up.:hotrod2:

You didn't say which Zaino's you used, but have you tried wiping the truck down with Zaino Z6? That has almost always removed any kind of contaminants that I have found on my cars.

I had the same problem with numb hands with my PC 7424. Bought a Flex 3401 and now,thankfully, that problem has completely disappeared. I know they cost a lot more, but it's been well worth it.:buffing:

Yes Mike,you're right, it is a base coat/clear coat and there is no silver coming up. Although I'm a little worried about going through the 29 year old clear coat:eek:. So far it looks great,but I think I'll have to try the Menzerna to get the look I want. Thanks to all for your replies.:dblthumb2:

The Menzerna 085rd would be O.K. to use on what I am assuming is relatively soft 29 year old paint? What color pad would you recommend also.

Spent about an hour polishing the hood of my 81 Corvette(Original Paint) with Meg's 205 and Grey pad and PC, plus touching up some minor scratches with Meg's Scratch-X. Turned out great. Now, should I, or is there anything I can use from Meg's that would bring that shine up just a bit more? A...

I recently bought an 09 Pontiac G8 with Onyx leather interior. The leather has a very flat(no sheen) appearance to it, which is fine by me. My question is, can anyone recommend a leather treatment that will not change this flat look, but still nourish the leather and help keep it new looking?

Yes it is basecoat/clearcoat paint that is all original. Car has never been wrecked or painted. Also I am not getting any color pigment off of it at all. The car has been properly prepped and polished,and the Zaino does give it a great shine. Under florescent light and in the sun the car looks...

I currently use Zaino and am very happy with it on most of my cars. However, I have a 1981 Corvette with original 2 tone Silver over Dark Blue that I just cannot seem to get that "POP" in the shine out of. The Car looks very good though, but I'm wondering if anyone can recommend something better...
