Getting ready for New Mustang Mach-E

Sorry, I meant Wolfgang TSR I already asked the dealer...we shall see when it gets there I have TSR and also a jewelling polish but the Gyeon Primer does all at once so less time. I will look into these. Being in the Northeast, and the car being a daily driver, I am leaning towards the...

Getting ready for New Mustang Mach-E

Hello everyone, Although still detailing my car regularly, I have not been on the forum for a while, and with a new Mach-E coming next month, I have a few questions regarding its detailing. For the new car detailing, I am planning on doing the following: Wash: Wolfgang Auto Bathe / Uber Wheels...

    Washing MF towels

I have been cleaning as following: - Tatty towels (wheels, engine, exhaust, rubber cleaning, wash mitts) with regular tide in wash and DP Microfiber cleaner in the bleach compartment (of course setting the machine for a bleach cycle), which means they get washed twice, dry on low heat -...

    TPnS as fine polish?

Hello Forum, It's been a while since I posted, but had time to detail my car last week end and have a couple questions. I did my carbon black BMW as follows: - areas that just needed light clean up and light swirl removal with Blackfire TPnS on white pad - areas needing more attention (hood...

    BMW Paint

Looks like clear coat failure in the pic? 535 would be my guess, that engine cooks everything!

    Making the first big purchase

It's been a while since I posted something, but having gone the "newbie route" not so long ago, I will provide insight from the path I followed. First, before even thinking about buffing scratches, have a solid cleaning kit. If your paint has surface contaminants, buffing will use these to...

    Giveaway! A Signed Autogeek Banner!

I don't know who he or she is, but whoever filled in my last order: the warehouse must have been out of the sample I wanted, and they nicely included a huge sample of PB quick detailer and that stuff is great. All that nicely tidy in the box with everything else. We all known the public...

Need serious help with my pricing!

At $70 a car, I could fly you down here to Texas, have you do my 2 cars, get you a hotel room and it would still be cheaper than going to see the hacks that call themselves detailers around here! Now, since you are only doing this seasonaly, I would think you will not be able to charge the same...

Anyone using the AG Detailer's Tool Bag?

I have one and absolutely love it. Just to give you an idea, here's a list of what I have in it: In the main compartment: - PC7424 - foam brushes, Q-tips, roll of masking tape - 1 "tatty" towel for one the fly cleaning - tub of maxwax Bottom compartment: - 4 pads 6.5'' (orange*2, white, gray)...

Bringing "life" back to a Heat Exchanger? (radiator)

2 tools you may need: - a fin brush is a brush you would use to clean the fins from debris. Some can go on your vacuum cleaner, but otherwise, any brush with stiff nylon bristle and long handle will work - the tool you are referring to is called a fin comb. Auto mechanics, but also A/C repairmen...

    Need Wheel Cleaner recommendations

My experience with wheel cleaners you named is: - Griot's: very safe for all wheels but not much more effective than a good car shampoo or APC - TAW works better than a car shampoo but again, not strong enough for super bad cases - P21S: I thought at first it was not super tough, but given...

    Sully's Detailing: 2006 M3

I am appreciative of your work: my car is a Carbon Black 5-series and this color is tricky, almost worse than straight black because it is difficult to see the swirls at first, then when you start seeing them, they are all over! Nice work.

Your Preferred wash mitt and drying towel for rinseless wash?

Using the DP rinseless, I like the Cobra chenille mitt, followed by either the green drying towel or the "gold special purchase towel" I bought around Xmas. Both work well.

Which auto shampoo should I get?

I have had very good luck with DP products, both the Auto Bath for a regular shampoo and the Rinseless Wash and Gloss for a rinseless version. I also like the Meguiars Gold Class shampoo. That said, Pinnacle XMT is on BOGO and if I needed shampoo, I would go for that:xyxthumbs:

Now I know to never take my car to a "bunch of Hacks"

Re: Now I know to never take my car to a "detailer" I am glad of that as well. I will however have to undo some other damage since someone did put 2 cardboard boxes on my trunk lid last Friday and of course drug one over to grab it back. Since my car was dirty, I have some nice little RIDS on...
