    Pre-SEMA Set Up

I just got in, so I'll be stopping by in the morning to say hello again. Side question, do you know if GTechniq has a booth or space with you this year now that you're stocking/selling their product? Rob mentioned to me last year that they were planning on coming out in 2012 or 2013.

    Sears, What Went Wrong...

All of my handtools are Snap-On :props: It helps when your dad has been a dealer for them for the last 30+ years

    Some quick Chinchilla pics

Did you ever purchase the green Shamrock towels? I know those had a problem with shedding, but they are amazing rinseless wash towels. I haven't been able to find a good replacement for them for a long time now.

PBMG at SEMA 2011 - Day 1 pictures

I'll stop by tomorrow to say Hi/thank you to the folks that instigated a longstanding addiction. :)

    In-Out-Burger....

Red Robin is also a sitdown. Headed over to In-n-Out now, thanks for the craving.

Rotary Buffer Talk with Bob Eichelberg from Flex Tools

Wow Mike, I didn't expect a response to my question for at least a few days. Thank you for going to the source for an answer so quickly. It sounds very honest and the part about a hard working detailer wearing out a product is what I realistically expected. I didn't know about the European...

Rotary Buffer Talk with Bob Eichelberg from Flex Tools

One of the reasons that I went with a Festool 150 FEQ instead of the Flex is the 3 year warranty on the Festool. I know Flex upped their warranty to 2 years, but is there any reason why they didn't go with the Festool matching 3 years?

    APC Suggestion

I like Megs APC for interiors. I love Zeps Citrus Degreaser for wheels, engine bays, and wheel wells. You can get that product at Home Depot for around $10 per gallon.

    Post Your Unpacking Pictures

I do all my purchasing from GTechniq.com . I'll typically get my order within 3 business days shipped from the UK. To get back to unpacking photos. This order didn't look like the others. When I started opening it, I found that the P1 polish decided to explore a little. Rob is always a...

That's a lot of trim restorer! Then again, it is my favorite one by far. 19 year old trim has never looked better. GTechniq coatings = amazing.

She really is a curious kitty. She made the mistake of jumping head first into an autogeek shipping box that was still full of packing peanuts once.

Not an Autogeek purchase, but an exciting unboxing!

    Paint Thickness Gauge.

I don't understand the real value of the gauges. Sure you know how much paint in total is available, but we don't work with all of the paint unless it's a single stage. I don't see any way to tell how much CLEAR COAT is remaining with these devices. It feels like a waste of money when how...

    Applied/Testing GTechniq C1

Just finished the Bullitt Mustang, and I have just above 1/3rd of a 25ml bottle left. It seems like the 14-20 ml per car was right on the money. I really expected the bottle to really only last 1 car.

    Applied/Testing GTechniq C1

I'm not trying to de-rail your thread, just add some more experiences with the same product. We figured out that it was sweating so much because I wasn' spreading the product as thin as I needed to. I used the same amount to do the whole top of the trunk as I did on 1/5th of the hood. For me...

    Applied/Testing GTechniq C1

My guess is that I didn't use a plush microfiber to do the initial wipes. I used the indigo cobra all purpose towels because I didn't want to waste an expensive, fluffy one. The indigo isn't a great towel at absorbing/holding product, so I'm going to test the next section with a fluffier...

    Applied/Testing GTechniq C1

Here's a quick description of what I did 24 hours later. I'm doing this for full disclosure in hopes of either drawing attention to me being an idiot, or to help others with application. Rob Earle wasn't too much help when I spoke with him about the hazing, but that was mostly due to no...

    Applied/Testing GTechniq C1

I finally got my order in the other day. After my first application I found that even after a light initial buff and periodic haze removal, there were some cloudy spots that wouldn't wipe off. I used very little product and I made sure to just wipe off the rainbow-y residue, but I couldn't...

This just happened to me today, but the inside looked worn down.

    High(er) end wax

I can give another nod in for CG 50/50. We've had a pretty nasty winter/spring and this last single layer of was is still going strong after over 1.5 months. Very easy to apply, gives me the best shine/look for the price, and comes off with just a small swipe. //Picture proof time.
