Looking for wheel coating tips for a first timer

Thanks for all the varied input guys. I decided to take advantage of the flash sale on Friday and went and ordered 2 IGL wheel kits along with some McKees foaming wheel cleaner to try out. I’m thinking I may just keep layering the aftermarket wheels with WG metal sealant for now. I could see...

Looking for wheel coating tips for a first timer

I have 3 sets of wheels and 2 sets of calipers to coat and would love some advice on how to approach this. I’m a complete newb to coatings. The first set will be on a Mercedes sprinter work van with stock pads that is a daily driver. I’ve already spent about 2 hours cleaning and claying with...

Awesome work on a pretty rare car. I like the under hood and door sill pics. Shows that you did a real thorough job.

Early Christmas gift to my GTO

I like your thinking. Sounds like your well on your way to a bullet proof drivetrain. Do you ever bring your car to the Bass Pro cruise nights in Foxboro? I've seen a Slowhawk tuned procharged red GTO there but I thought it was owned by an older gentlemen.

Early Christmas gift to my GTO

Awesome score and perfect time of year to start the install. Spring will be here before you know it. Don also put a RPM transmission in a family members TBSS and tuned my camaro after I did a FLT trans and 4000 stall. We're lucky to have a top notch LS specialist in the area.

Low Mileage 03 Cobra gets glossed!

You've got to work on some seriously cool cars lately. Supercharged fox body's, f body's, c6's and now the terminator. It must be pretty rewarding getting to correct these types of vehicles.

I've been using Amazing Roll-off for over 5 years now. It does a great job on the white lettering on my BFG tires.

    Anyone own a Kayak

I've been using 303 myself. I actually bought it at a local marine supply store along with some collinite 845. I can't really comment on the longevity of the 303 though as I store the yak indoors most of the time.

    Still stylin' 14 years later...

Those wheels look great on that color. I think the C5z is probably the biggest bang for your buck right now in the used sport car market. Hard to beat the cost to performance ratio.

Packing up for the Autogeek Roadshow Class in Oconomowoc, Wisconsin - August 12th & 13th

If I ever get a chance to attend a roadshow class your going to need a couple extra guzzlers just to mop up my puddle of drool. Are there any plans to come up to the northeast, more specifically the Boston area?

Anyone using Hose Slides when washing?

I knew there was a reason I've been keeping my old broken buckets. Thanks for posting that. I'll try using them as halves first since I have plenty to spare.

    Balancing Weight on Aluminum Wheel

I would definitely take it back. A good tire shop will not only put their weights on the inside but they can also hide and stack them behind the spokes. My tire shop did all 4 of my wheels like that without having to ask.

    Snow removal (on the car)

the key to safe snow removal is making sure your paints clean before it snows. no matter what you use to remove the snow it can still cause marring if there is salt or dirt below it. i power wash my car at the coin-op car wash down the street then onr it at my house. its a never ending battle tho.
