    Sealant for Bird bombs

Well I don't think it's the rice they're eating here, so it must be the spam musubi or pork adobo.:) Too far to fly to Chicago or Boston!

    Sealant for Bird bombs

Wow a 10 year old post and it still holds true. Are coatings any better? I guess if it eats clear coat/paint nothing is bulletproof. I just may continue with what I have. Thanks Bob PS I just noticed the time difference :)

    Sealant for Bird bombs

So after reading another post about bird bombs and specifically it etching WGDGPS was wondering what's best. For the ones I have Duragloss 105, Klasse KSG , WGDGPS and Collinite 845/476 all say they protect against bird droppings except WGDGPS. I was ready to use the WGDGPS but now not so sure.

    opinions/suggestions wanted, can't decide

Sheez, decisions, decisions. I know all the work is in the prep no matter what I use. Since it's a new vehicle I won't have to clean all the nooks & crannies of dirt & grime. I'll do a good wash, decon and baggie test and take it from there. I do appreciate all the suggestions/info.

Kinda rethinking the coating as it's not going to see a lot of miles and will be garaged. If I had more time, maybe

Yes Autogeek, I had it in my cart and this popped up Federal regulations prohibit the shipment of this products by air, UPS 3 Day, UPS 2, or US Mail. This item is shipped by UPS Ground only. Sorry but no APO or FPO addresses.

Each time I've changed my detailing approach it was due to lack of time. I started off with waxes, but got sick of having to re-apply them every 2~4 months, so I moved up to sealants which would last me six. The next step was coatings which stretches out the interval to two years. I now have...

Getting my wife a 2021 Lexus RX 450H in atomic silver shortly to replace her 2011. I have always detailed our own vehicles and can't decide if I should use what I have or get into the coatings. I have used and liked the following products. WGDGPS 3.0 Duragloss 601/105 Klasse twins Collinite...

    Jeep Hard Top Coating?

I have an 02 sport and after searching on the jeep forum i used penetrol. Yes the stuff they use to thin oil based paints but it's also a conditioner for fiberglass. It has been at least a year and it still looks good. FWIW.

    Question about applying Klasse SG

I have to agree. I just have never waited that long to remove product.

    Question about applying Klasse SG

Apply, let dry, by the time you finished last panel, first panel should be dry. Buff and cure for 12 hours before second coat.

    Question about applying Klasse SG

I use KSG with a small spritz sprayer, one or two shots on first panel then one each panel after. I find by letting it dry longer it's easier to remove. If you're not sure how much is on the pad swipe it across your glass and you'll know.

What do you define as a ‘one step’ service?

[QUOTE=DMiglio; Benefits of a “one step” over an AIO, might be that you can get more defects out and then add a separate protection option, getting an upsell to a sealant or coating even. This obviously takes more time and would cost more and makes a 2 step harder to sell potentially, but all...
