I'm going to follow all the steps as usual, then seal with opticoat. In the mean time, I read that Mike agrees NXT 2.0 wax is good at hiding the swirls. I'm going to go that method during the winter months until I can get my PC up and running. I think at that time I will try the 105/205 method...
Yeah it's a pain, but it's not my first black truck. My last truck was a 2008 ford drw, and getting it right was tedious, but once there, keeping it right was easy peesey. I used a super bright electrical linesman light to check swirls after buffing and it looked good. So I know these swirls are...
I have a black 2013 ram, and it has to be the worst paint I have ever had to deal with. Clear is so soft it will swirl if you look at it wrong. I buffed it out this past fall with the Wolfgang duo, it came out great, but now after this dismal winter and all this salt, it has some scratching...
I am thinking
10 oz. Klasse All-In-One
16.9 oz. Klasse High Gloss Sealant Glaze
2 Microfiber Detailing Cloths
2 Poly Foam Wax Applicators
2 Deluxe Microfiber Applicators
For $69
Then look for a high quality carnauba wax
How do you guys feel about windex as a ISP. I read mike has used it in the past. I did a test panel and the windex removed the film. Question is, how safe it it to the paint.
So I started buffing out all my swirls on my new black 2013 ram. I am using the Wolfgang twins with a porter cable da. After sing both products, I have successfully removed the swirls and applied some turtle wax black wax. Now I am having a oily waxy residue that won't come off. I tried washing...
Its not just the doors. Im looking at the trunk lid, the hood, the front of the door from top to bottom. The main crease down the side. All of that. I have had 3 camaros, 2 '67's and 1 '69. I would definately take some more time and get a constant gap around everything. Barrett will pick it apart.
Very nice work, but the Camaro leaves alot to be desired. That is going to Barrett? Wow, whoever did the body work needs help, the panels dont even line up.
I can bearly tell which was the afters, I think the last one is a after, but you should use a better camera. The iphone isnt cutting it, especially since you used a real camera on the befores. Not saying its your work quality, just thinking it may be picture quality.
Well, its morning, the storm is gone, and I have over 30" of snow to shovel out of my very long 2 car wide driveway. Nice that we will have a white Christmas, but holy cow, I havent seen this much snow in a very long time.
