    What exactly is Enviroguard?

Thanks for the feedback. I didn't think it was worth getting but wasn't sure, glad to be able to confirm it. And my parents were more curious if it was worth it than they were determined to get it. From the reviews posted and what some of you have said it seems to be a gimmick. And here I was...

    What exactly is Enviroguard?

So my parents are looking to buy a Subaru and the dealership is really pushing this enviroguard protection plan which does look rather good, BUT they don't know what in the hell it is. I ask if it is like Optiseal and they have no idea. It goes on the seats, it goes on the trim, it goes on the...

Need some help, looking for best paint shop in Florida

I have 2 claims open, one for rear end collision and the other for rock chips all over the front of my car. I was hoping insurance would cover the whole car getting painted and then the plan was to get a clear bra over the front of the car to protect it. Was my one regret when I bought this car...

Hey guys, I was rear ended a few weeks back and in a nutshell I am going to try and get the whole car repainted and try and get insurance to cover it. I am basically looking for the best paint shop in Florida. I know that I am not going to get the same level of paint as you get from the factory...

Anyone used Everdry on a any part of a car? (Super-hydrophobic product)

Sooo guessing no one has tried this then. And the reason this product is getting so much attention is that the video that shows it in action is making its rounds all over the internet. 4chan, reddit, 9gag, facebook and so on.

Anyone used Everdry on a any part of a car? (Super-hydrophobic product)

Has anyone tried taping off the tires and portions of a car and tried spraying this onto the wheels? Would be amazing if this could be sprayed on twice a year and never have to worry about brake dust/dirt on the wheels again. Was thinking of trying this if they come out with a translucent...

Good polish for removing clear coat scratches?

Take it from someone who used to try to do it by hand, save up for a PC. Your arm and wrist will thank you when you're trying to sleep at night... After going through what I've gone through in the past, I should have either hired someone to do it by machine or saved up for the machine (which I...

    Quick question about wax prep

Awesome! Thanks for the replies. I was mainly talking about both types of trim, plastics and glossy bits. But if you guys are sure it wont harm the trim then I'll go for it. :xyxthumbs: P.s. I imagine it will hurt rubber right? Probably need to avoid that... *edit* Is it possible to apply...

    Quick question about wax prep

If I am using Natty's Blue wax do I need to make sure and keep it off of trim? even glossy trim that appears to have clear coat? I was thinking of doing some Nattys blue on my car tomorrow as the car is clean but I don't really want to have to tape up the whole car... Any ideas?

Need to remove adhesive without removing tint...help

I will try this. Appreciate the help. Think I'll wait on Mobile Detail's report on how the goo gone chemicals do, I imagine not well but I'd like to make sure before I go out and buy some other products. If the goo gone type products don't work well then I'll try the above bolded. Thanks for the...

Need to remove adhesive without removing tint...help

So I had a bit of a bind a few weeks ago and had to put up an adhesive credit card size E-pass to get through some tolls on the day of a road trip, found out my suction cup one wasn't working and no one sold one the suction type that night, so I had to get a sticky kind for the trip. So now I...

Good polish for removing clear coat scratches?

Is there a way to get just one product to get these scratches out or is this going to be a multi-step process? Takes a lot out of me just to do one pass on the whole car getting swirls out, I would imagine it would nearly kill me to do 2 to 3 passes with a PC (at least when trying to get...

Good polish for removing clear coat scratches?

I have a full detail coming up and am planning on buffing out some clearcoat scratches (not snag-able with nail) and a few swirls (very minor) but am not sure what type of polish to use. I am planning on sealing the car with Menzerna Power lock and was thinking of keeping with the Menzerna...

HELP! Is this clay marring or scratches? (time an issue!)

I think my main issue has been lube and clay, apparently you have to find the right tpye of lube before committing to the whole car, if it marrs a small area when you're drenching the area with your lube then it's either a too aggressive clay or not the right type of lube, in this case I think...

HELP! Is this clay marring or scratches? (time an issue!)

I didn't mean to imply that I don't tape ANY areas, just not the area around where I am working. I do tape off trim and areas I don't want polish to get into. It is definitely working for me better to just tape the areas I am not working on and eye ball the area I am. Thanks for the very...
