    car washing question

I would try clay first and go from there. My sisters car was covered in tree sap, I tried several different cleaners and the clay bar worked wonders.

    Grit Guard Alternative

I used to use a five gallon paint can grid instead of a grit guard. It worked ok for most sponges and mitts. Now most of my family has been given grit guards and buckets from me.

    A Joke A Day

I need some advice on what could be a life changing decision. I've suspected for some time now that my wife has been cheating on me. The usual signs. Phone rings, I answer, someone hangs up. She started going out 'with the girls from work a lot recently although when I ask which girl it is...

Help on selecting pads for Flex VRG 3401

I use the 6.5 inch HT pads with the stock backing plate. The Cyan pad works well with 105 for most everything. My ace in the hole is the sur-buf pads with 105.

Looking for ideas on new garage

A few things my buddy did to his garage that I really like are: He put an I-beam header over the front door of the garage. It has come in handy many times, not just for engine work. Put the air compressor outside the garage, it really keeps down on dust and noise that way. Installed a screen door...

    Took the plunge...

Congrats, You won't regret this purchase. I started out with the 3401 and HT pads and they made the learning curve easy for me. I did add Sur-Buf pads for tougher jobs and they have held up well too. You know the older you get, the more it's up to you to make yourself happy on your birthday...

    Dp Glass Restorer

DP glass Restorer worked great on my cars. I was hoping that it would work as well on a boat's windshield that was heavily spotted. It did lighten the water spots some but it didn't get rid of them. I tried many different glass cleaners and concoctions of vinegar but nothing really worked. I...

    1967 Mustang Fastback GT - 10.27/130mph

Thanks for posting this Mike. My first real car was almost identical to that one... '67 GT fastback, factory 4-speed and factory 390. When I bought it the 390 had been replaced with a 351 Cleveland out of a Cougar Eliminator. It beat everything I ever raced (which wasn't many). I had dreams...

    Favorite boat products

I now have a Flex 603 rotary on the way to me and I am looking at going with the Optimum 8" double-sided twisted wool pads for doing the cutting work. Being double-sided it looks like it would be able to get into some tight places and also be a little safer since there isn't an exposed backing...
