Which wax to cover backhole or autoglym super resin with??

SRP is not very fussy about what products are used on top of it. I have used various products like OCW and many other waxes and they have all been fine. Obviously if the wax or sealant is fussy then it might lead to some durability issues. Not sure if you can buy the AG EGP which is the...

Review: GTechniq C6 Matte Dash AB Antibacterial by Mike Phillips

Not tried the AB version but C6 has been my favourite interior dressing for many years

    European random orbital polishers

This would be my starting point. There is a huge selection of polishers for sale in Europe with the correct voltage and CE certification and polishing without dragging out a transformer is just nicer

Can I use CarPro PERL on dress shoe leather?

As above, if the leather is coated then Perl works quite well, Optibond and Optimum Leather also give reasonable results. Perl lasted the longest

Optimum opti bond tire gel diluted

What kind of crazy spray is that! If ever there was a product which would be perfect for the Hyper Polishes, that is it. Obviously works very well with Optibond but I really must look into if this is for sale in the UK

Might be going all optimum...input requested

Taking your comment out of context but sometimes the Optimum world is a confusing place. On a completely different note, GPS works best by machine but is far more ordinary when used by hand

    Crazy newbie rotary question:

One thing to bear in mind with cheaper rotary units is they tend to come with very hard backing plates. Whilst these have their place, most of the time polishing is significantly easier by upgrading to a better backing plate eg 3M or GlossIt. The downside of a decent backing plate is the...

    Drying Aid with UV Protection?

I have been using OCW as a drying aid for the last few years without any problems, even on glass there has not been any issues. I maybe am loosing a bit of durability but on the other hand my paint is dried with a product which provides lubrication. Optimum say you can clay with OCW but so far...

AG still setting off anti-virus alerts!

Whenever I try to visit this site it is the evgeneevich element which seems to slow everything down. Whatever it is doing it makes navigation of AG too slow to use. It is as if evgeneevich is loading some huge file as the address is shown at the bottom of the page is visible during most of my...

Isopropyl + ONR prior to OptiCoat 2.0?

ONR & IPA also makes a good glass cleaner. I have done some experiments using ONR as a cleaner. Although I tend to use ONR as a domestic cleaner for most hard surfaces I have also found it works very well cleaning the light oils from a kitchen hob. By giving the ONR about 30 seconds to dwell...

    Attempt to compromise my account?

Didn't some Greeks say the same thing about a wooden horse? Maybe they have calculated the greatest weakness in western civilisation is a bunch of people who will spend 40 pages arguing about a wax.

    Fresh Paint

Optimum have said their OCW can be used on fresh paint plus it also works very well on fully cured paint and is very easy to use. Spray-wipe-done. Lower risk of damage as very little pressure or effort is used. The older Imperial Hand Glaze is still a good product although the new Meguiars...

    Advice On Smaller Pads

No problem using the 3M with smaller pads. In the UK the 3M pads are 6" but I have also used 5" and spot pads as well. The polish works best with a rotary, it can work with a DA but it is harder work and the quality is a little lower

    Compound you recommend?

Early last year I bought a bottle of GPS. First spray head failed on first spray, that was ok I accept things can break. Second spray head works very well on first spray and then the trigger gets stuck on second spray. This can be fixed by removing the spray head and eventually spraying as...
