If you're looking for another Sonax product to try, I recommend EX 04-06. It's one of the best polishes I've ever used.

Ammo Hydrate was designed specifically for the task you are mentioning. Plus it's easy to use. You don't even have to buff it off, just wipe it on and disappears.

I've also had an impossible time getting all of the blue coloring out of the pads. But I wonder if that's all that is, a color stain? If that's case, then I would think if they're cleaned thoroughly, that they should be fine to use with other polishes.

I have done the washer mod to my 21 and although it helps, it still stops rotating if the panel isn't flat enough. Don't get me wrong, I still really like the machine and it is the most pleasant buffer to use in my experience. I also had a flex 3401 and I never found a panel I couldn't get it...

I think you could have saved yourself some aggravation if you had used Griot's other product, the Pre-wax Cleanser. It's easy to confuse the 2, but their Paint Prep is for removing old wax or sealant. Whereas the Pre-wax Cleanser is for removing polishing oils, and is just spray on and wipe off.

I haven't really tried it on tar, but Auto Finesse Citrus Power is amazing on bugs while being gentle on your LSP
