    Removing Scratches from Glass

I have very fine scratching that I would like to remove from my windows. Its nothing serious, kinda similar to swirl marks in paint. The stuff I see in the store talks about removing water spots. To me that means mineral deposits. I need something with cutting power to level the glass. Does...

    Window question

I work at a dealership. When we clean cars for delivery, the same thing happens. All that can be done is to not put the window down untill you give it to the customer. Once they take it, its in their hands. You would have to let the car dry for a few hours in the sun with the windows up to...

    Dreaded Road Paint

Acetone, Thinner, whatever you got to remove paint with works. You just have to be really careful so you dont remove the cars paint with the road paint. Platic blade to scrap it off with, then just clay the rest. For the inner fender, I just hit that with black spray paint.

    Removing Scratches from Windows

The stuff I see in the store talks about removing water spots. To me that means mineral deposits. If that is the case, then the products they carry arent what I need. I need something with cutting power to level the glass. Does that come from the pads they sell.

    Removing Scratches from Windows

I have very fine scratching that I would like to remove from my windows. Its nothing serious, kinda similar to swirl marks in paint. Is there anything that can be done to remove these? Can I buff it like paint to get a similar effect? I have a PC that I can use to buff with.

Nice products, however I think its common knowledge that steel wool is far superior to your yellow pad. You might want to pick up some.

Post Pictures of your Detailing Products

I had the idea the other day when I was cleaning my car. The idea is to have people post pictures of all their detailing equipment. Wax, buffers, tire shine, whatever. So I figured this would be fun since you get a chance to show off a little.

    Pearl Accura TL Single Pass..Pics

Car looks great, the only thing i cant stand is when people put the lines in the carpet. It looks like a circus tent. To many dealerships do this with their extractor machines. It really annoys me. My thought is, you are detailing it to return it to the way it looked when it came off the...

    Porter Cable 7335 Type 1

I picked this up at a yard sale for $20. Its just the machine with a beat up disc on it that is trash. No handle or anything else came with it. Anyways, my question is, is there a good site for parts? I have found a few places that have handles for like $10. I am guessing they are probably all...

Need help restoring paint on 14 year old car

Its not exactly clear coat failure like you might see on spoilers. Its just slightly duller then the metal painted parts. My hope was that it was just oxidization and I could correct it with a buff. Or maybe its the products I have been using since the last time I buffed it. Ive only used...

Need help restoring paint on 14 year old car

I dont think its single stage. Its the factory paint, and I believe its base/clear. However, I am somewhat new to all this. So I could be mistaken. I am worried that all the buffing I have done has cut down on the clear coat to the point where its beyond repair. No its factory paint. Is the...

Need help restoring paint on 14 year old car

I have a 1997 Grand Am. I have buffed it a few times, but now all the plastic painted parts are dull, but the metal painted parts still have shine to them. I was wondering if there is a product, technique, tool, that I could use to restore these areas so they match the metal areas of the car...
