Best place to sell detailing business?

Moving out the country soon and would like to sell my headlight resto biz to somebody locally, but not having too much luck on craigslist. It comes with supplies and a websites and all that jazz so I'm hoping there may be somewhere better to sell than CL? Any of you guys ever done this before?

Headlight restoration guys...think this product might hurt us?

Looks decent. No idea on longevity though. I used their sealant on one headlight and optiseal on the other and both had a nice little shine.

Even if it is just a sealant like the optimum opti-seal I used before the spar method then that'll keep the headlights looking decent for 6 months, maybe more depending on how much annual sunlight and heat you get. I'm starting to think some good old fashioned signs put up at car washes would...

Well...yeah the sanding bit is definitely true. I guess I've always been more of a "screw it go for it" type when it comes to working on things. Gotta remember that my target market isn't.

Sylvania came out with a restoration kit that actually has UV sealant AND sandpaper Amazon.com: Sylvania 38771 Headlight Restoration Kit: Automotive ...two of the things that I always knew I'd have over the other kits on the market. With that fast-brite crap out on TV now I'm sure a lot more...

    Sanding scratches...any ideas?

Yeah I'm using high speed on my 18V drill. Maybe I should go back and do one by hand with the same type of method and see what type of difference there is. Grrr.

    Sanding scratches...any ideas?

Hey all, Starting up a little headlight resto business. Using a 3" drill adapter with a soft foam meguiars unigrit thing inbetween the pad and the sanding discs, I'm getting scratching while wet sanding. Process went from wet sanding 800-1000-1500-trizact 3000 disc, then using an yellow pad...

    Headlight Restoration-new UV sealant idea

Using a drill adapter and going from 800-1000-1500-3000-meg 105-plastx I'm still getting TONS of sanding swirls. Is this because I'm going from the 1500 straight to a 3000 trizact disc? Should I be using a 2000 or 2500 in between? Or could it be the drill adapter? I wetsand with all and...

Also, I use a 2 gallon garden pump sprayer from homedepot to keep water in for spraying down the headlights before and after sanding steps. This helps a lot too as opposed to trying to mess with a hose.

I don't like keeping urethane and mineral spirits cans in my car. Does anybody know if you can keep these chemicals in a plastic pump spray bottle or smaller plastic bottles? Anybody tried applying the mixture with one of those foam painting brushes you can get at walmart? I think it might...

    Headlight Restoration-new UV sealant idea

Same here to be honest. I ran into the same issue you had. Was using the 3000 trizact discs, meguiars 105 for cutting compound, and then plastx as the final step and topping with opti-seal for UV protection. The 105 got EVERYWHERE during the process. Slinging all over the place. Huge mess...

    Headlight Restoration-new UV sealant idea

Bummer. Sprayed the headlights with the new clearcoat an hour after the clear was applied. The water spots made their way into the clear and won't come out. Anybody know how long the car has to sit before applying water or washing the headlights? Obviously this process makes a mess so...

This works AMAZINGLY! Thanks so much for being the nice type of guy who shares his information with others. Huge kudos to you. One question though, I'm getting some marks if I apply a little too thick with a shop towel. Would it be better to try and use one of those foam paint brushes like...
