I agree that taking apart headlights without knowledge is a bad idea. But you just need to use the right stuff to reseal them. I'm leaving the insides alone now. But I did seal the outside of the lens with some collonite. Testing to see if it lasts longer than the mineral spirits/spar urethane...

Damn...jumping to conclusions people. These are stock HID headlights... there is no scorching of the lens going on... I'm not a newb to opening headlights. Just because you open them doesn't mean they will leak and condensate. I've had them open before and resealed them before. I won't be doing...

I don't have a picture or blueprints. Get your buckets, a 2x4 and a piece of plywood. Put your buckets how you want them and cut the 2x4s to make a frame.

I built a dolley to hold both of my buckets. Four wheels with two that lock. Works great.

So is it just me thinking that the guards don't work when higher off the bottom? I thought they needed to be on the bottom to stop the water and dirt from swirling.

Just curious what everybody is using for wash buckets. I never thought it mattered much as long as they were good clean buckets but I've been using pepboy's 5gal buckets but I notice that my grit guards don't sit on the bottom of the bucket as they should. They sit almost halfway up the bucket...

Not really. I have APC and Super Degreaser. That's about it for that stuff. I plan on making an order this weekend so I guess I can grab some car pro eraser too. Just was hoping not to buy more stuff if I could use what I have. But I know eraser is well likes here.

Anybody using APC or APC+ in their wash bucket or foam cannon for wipedown after compound/Polish? I have some dr.color chip to do and need something to wipedown after I compound/polish. I think I found that people used a 4:1 dilution for LSP stripping, so would that be the same for a wipedown?
