    Anyone using magic eraser???

Are there any good write ups out there on how to incorporate these into a detailing arsenal? I have some that I use around the house and they do in fact work great. On a car though, even something as simple as trim....scary! :buffing:

    The Beach Towel Tip

I've experienced the same. My past 3 orders I've been unable to pick up a towel as they've been out of stock. Hoping to see them back soon!

How to use the Gilmour Foam Gun?

I believe I have the stem ratio mixer. It's a little slider with holes in it that lets you set the gun for specific dilutions. I think my problem was that I just didn't have any water in the container :P. The impression I got from the directions was that it would just magically mix at the...

How to use the Gilmour Foam Gun?

I used my Gilmour Foam Gun for the first time yesterday and it didn't quite work as I had planned at first. From what I understood I should just fill the bottle up with my car wash soap of choice and the gun itself would auto-mix it based on the setting I put it on. I was very surprised to...

Dummy Detailer Strikes Again! (Amazing Roll Off)

It's all good man. Just one of those things I know better on next time :dblthumb2:

Dummy Detailer Strikes Again! (Amazing Roll Off)

Yep, I completely agree. I was cleaning up oil splatter on the counter/floor and just got a little trigger happy. Normally I just use some soapy water and maybe a sponge to boot.

Dummy Detailer Strikes Again! (Amazing Roll Off)

There's always that option :props: After taking a closer peak, it looks like the "spotted' areas just have that cherry coat missing - which is why they look off from the rest of the table. I'm 99% sure that's the case, and is probably why the bottle says to dilute the product before using on...

Dummy Detailer Strikes Again! (Amazing Roll Off)

I've actually done this before on a dresser where I left a water bottle. The stain came completely out and I plan on giving it a shot when I don't have to worry about looking funny ironing a shirt on the kitchen table :props:. As for the type of finish...I wish I knew man. It looks like a...

Dummy Detailer Strikes Again! (Amazing Roll Off)

The spotting actually isn't horribly bad, I'll see if I can get a few pictures up so you guys can see what I'm working with. I was thinking a wood polish might do the trick, but I know wood polishes aren't exactly like a paint polish you would use on a car. Most of the polishes I see come in...

Dummy Detailer Strikes Again! (Amazing Roll Off)

Hello all! I seem to have the worst luck when it comes to detailing products, specifically those with cleaning agents in them. This time around I ran into some trouble with Amazing Roll Off. I was actually using it in the kitchen (tile counters/floors) and was having a good old time. Easy on...

    Aww Shucks...Review Time!!!

That's kind of why I asked what your application method was. For one I just wanted to make sure if I followed your same steps I would have success, and two because I know of two other methods that were recommended to me for this product. Not that your way is incorrect, there is always more than...

    Aww Shucks...Review Time!!!

Very nice! Really looking forward to using this product. So just to confirm your process: 1. Wash 2. Spray Paint Prep onto wet paint, top-to-bottom 3. Take a fresh chenille mit with fresh water, and "work" the product into the paint 4. Pressure wash for good measure 5. Dry Is this correct?

    Lesser of Two Evils...

I'll keep that in mind. I know the weather in California doesn't get quite as rough as the Northeast, so I don't know first hand just how gritty that salt and grime can get. Best of luck to you this year :xyxthumbs:

    Lesser of Two Evils...

If there's built up grime on my car and I want to go the rinseless route, I usually do a pressure wash with a hose (or in a stall) to get off as much as I can. Leaving salt and dirt on the vehicle and jumping right in to a rinsless wash will almost certainly cash marring, swirls, and other...

    Lesser of Two Evils...

Neither! If you have access to a garage, you can use a rinseless wash product indoors. Many people like: Optimum No Rinse Wash & Shine: clay lubricant, optimum rinseless wash, no rinse car wash, optimum detailing products DP Rinseless Wash & Gloss, no rinse car wash, concentrated no rinse...

    Removing and Re-Applying LSP

Ended up picking up both the P21S Cleansing Lotion as well as the Griot's Paint Prep! I'll use the lotion when I want to use a very light polish and the Paint Prep when I'm just looking to strip the LSP. Thanks for the insight guys :buffing: EDIT: And on an unrelated note, after placing my...

    Removing and Re-Applying LSP

Good call, didn't have my head completely on when I typed that :props:. Seal then wax :buffing: . Which reminds me why I wanted to strip the LSP in the first place; to ensure the sealant bonds cleanly to the paint before topping it with some sweet sweet carnuba.

    Removing and Re-Applying LSP

Very nice! I was just looking through the Griot's line and saw that the Pre-Wax Cleanser I have is not the same as the Paint Prep. I picked mine up on BOGO and it looks like it's intended purpose is to be used like an IPA solution after polishing.

    Removing and Re-Applying LSP

That's the stuff! I've seen you mention it many times over, I just couldn't remember the name for certain. It appears to accomplish just what I need it to do; remove LSP without going through the process of claying or polishing. Do you know off hand how it behaves on single stage paint? I've...

    Removing and Re-Applying LSP

Hello all! What is the best way to strip down an LSP if you are not planning on polishing or even claying the paint? It seems like this is asked fairly often, but I've been having a hard time finding a clear answer. I'm thinking I may want to perform a wash and remove existing LSP in...
