    Window cleaning products or technique!!

For someone who just works to keep my own cars looking good I believe over the years I have come up with some pretty good techniques, which have worked well for me. The area that I seem to have the most problems with are the interior glass. They always look good until I start driving in the sun...

    Cold weather ?

I am not a detailer but I have had several products over the years freeze and go bad on me. I do live in a colder area than Va though so maybe that has a bearing. I now store all my products in the basement when winter sets in.:xyxthumbs:

Master Blaster, compressed air or leaf blower?

If you use a compressor remember to use an inline moisture trap and filter as air compressors will accumulate water and oil in the tank. I use an hvlp 4 stage turbine to dry my car but it's an expensive tool that we use at work, but is the same turbine set up as a master blaster. I have used a...

Product storage - inside the house or in the garage?

Being from the Northeast where we have below freezing temps I transfer all my products to the basement in the winter. I have lost so many different products to freezing that I no longer take a chance. Some seem to be freeze thaw stable while others go bad the first time they freeze.I never had...

    Opinions on wet dry vac?

I work in construction in the painting field and I buy 2 shop vacs at a time from Lowes when they go on sale. The last 2 were 10 gallon size in blue like you posted. When 1 dies I always have a backup. They work great and with all the fine plaster and wood dust that we handle daily I have found...

Cleaning the inside of the wheel?

As Bill said above... I only use it on the barrel of the wheel where it is dirty and full of brake dust. I even use a scotch brite pad which is even more abrasive with no problem, at least on a Corvette wheel, which has a painted barrel.:dblthumb2:

    streaky windows, please help

There was a chrome and glass cleaner that I used to buy at the Harley shop with a checkerboard logo on it and damn if I can remember the name, but they do not sell it anymore. That stuff was amazing on glass. I tried it on my wife's water stained windshield and it took the stains out that I...

    streaky windows, please help

I have the same problem on my Corvette, they look perfect until you drive in the sun and then it's streaks galore. I use Invisible glass with 2 clean microfibers and a 3rd for a final polish-wipedown. Do not have the problem on the outside just inside. Car has never been smoked in. I give up...

    Counterweight for PC DA

Exactly right Mike. My father ran a painting business his whole life and my brothers and I all had to help out as kids. 2 of us stayed in the business until my older brother passed away and I retired 3 years ago. We had several 7336's and when I first polished my old C5 I found a brand new 20...

    Counterweight for PC DA

Sorry if this has been asked to death but I could not find an answer. I have a porter cable 7336, basically the older version of the 7424 and I recently purchased a 3in backer plate with some LC 4in pads. Will I need a new counter weight for my DA? Thanks

Problems with new Woobie MF towels

Thats just the opposite of my experience. When they first came out mine were perfect and I loved them. This last batch were the bad ones, and quite obviously so. Once they saw the digital photos there was no question about sending new ones. Now we shall see if the new ones are fine now. Lets...

Problems with new Woobie MF towels

Update on the woobie towel issue. I had contacted Ag last week and sent pictures, but had not heard back as I thought was going to. Very possibly I might have heard something today. After seeing Meghan's post I decided to call again. I spoke with Brittany in customer service and in a matter of...
