How do I remove brake fluid from carpet

I just got a message from a mechanic friend who I've done lots of work for. He said there is brake fluid on the carpet of a 1967 Corvette he is working on. I have NOT seen the carpet yet. I don't know the carpet color, amount, etc. I know that brake fluid is essentially hydraulic oil. What...

Looking into a vapor Steamer. Need advice

I own the Vapor Chief 100 and I am very impressed with it. The continuous refill is worth it. I also have a Mytee Extractor. With both of them, I can do just about anything. I agree, don't skimp, whichever you choose.

Thank you guys for the advice. I ordered new brushes and a new trigger because it's relatively cheap compared to sending it in or buying a new one. I'll keep everyone updated. Ted

It would spin when laid flat on it's back but when I pick it up to put a pad on the paint either vertically or horizontally, it shuts off. Occasionally, I could shake it and get it to turn on, but then it would stop...

    Help with Optiguard Detailing

The Opti Guard coating is designed to protect against water spot etchings and stains. Don't sweat the pollen either, it shouldn't bond. At a maximum, you could clay bar after a wash, but I would let the Opti Guard get about thirty days old before doing that.

How to polish satin finish paint

An acquaintance of mine (in another city) has a black Corvette that he got repainted a few months ago. He had the painter add a "flattener" to the clear coat for a satin finish. He waxed his car by hand but something was in his rag and he scratched one panel. He hired a "local shop" to try to...
