Did Blackfire Crystal Seal get replaced?

Virtually identical to Crystal seal is ultima paint guard plus. In fact, there are people that say it comes from the same factory and is the same product. I can’t guarantee that, but I would believe it.

Do you still use a sealant?

Yup…. still have a pretty substantial amount of blackfire crystal seal left, along with a full bottle of Ultima paint guard plus… Love those two products.

    Magic eraser for leather cleaning

I personally don’t think magic eraser should be anywhere near a car. It is the equivalent of 3600 grit sandpaper… Plenty of other things that are not abrasive, especially if you “scrub“ with it.

Any downside to polishing the entire car with a light polishing pad, then go more aggressive if needed?

I agree With Nate, are you going to do it Just because you want to do it , or does it look like the car really needs it? I use the wife test, before I do something I ask my wife if the car still looks good, I can’t tell you how many times I’ve stopped doing something because I realized it was...

Questions on Gyeon CanCoat Evo and its application

I think the Gyeon bottle is complete crap , considering that it contains an expensive product that is crystalline susceptible. I dumped the bottle, and moved it all to a glass mason jar that hermetically seals, and then put it all in a Ziploc. So far eight months in, it’s still perfect. I use a...

Towels for IPA wipe down?? Thanks

Don’t overthink this, any solid microfiber towel will work fine.

Questions on Gyeon CanCoat Evo and its application

I stop ruining towels with spray coatings by using a microfiber brick, it works just as well, and then the after wipe with a normal microfiber doesn’t harm the towel. The plastic layer bricks that are above somewhere are the hot ticket. On a slightly different subject, I really wish the...

    Challenges with Gyeon Cancoat

That’s not a simple question to answer… If your surface is clean, and it’s a relatively new car where the surface is smooth, you could just use 50-50 isopropyl alcohol and water for a good wipe down and it would be ready. If it’s a surface that is older, has some scratches and is fairly well...

    Challenges with Gyeon Cancoat

I have had my CanCoat in the original bottle for about 14 months, it’s still looks fine, and works fine. However, the top was getting a little crusty and rough to open, so I transferred it to an a hermetically sealed mason type glass jar. The original bottle is pretty cheap, imo, with bad...

    DRIVE THROUGH CAR WASH ?

I’ve been using a touchless local wash for about eight years, and never had a scratch any surface. I usually just get the rinse and then wipe it down with Ech20 when I get home, easy Peezy , car still looks brand new.

Anyone switch to the ONE-bucket method?

The one bucket method is the Gary Dean rinseless wash method… Find it on YouTube…. I’ve been doing it for 12 years, never scratched a car yet. and 20 microfibers is ridiculous, I can do my car with five.

    Challenges with Gyeon Cancoat

I’m sure this is sacrilegious to some, but the older I get, (73) the easier I need things to be. Last week I did my brand new BMW 228i GranCoupe with CanCoat. The paint was in great shape being new, (after I ran the baggy test), so all I did was spray and wipe down each panel with 50-50 IPA, and...

Picking out DA and polish for a newb

I’m lazy, I wanna polish once and walk away. I would do a Griots polisher, a medium pad, and any of the major all-in- ones…a couple times a year a spray on ceramic after a wash… my cars don’t have to be picture perfect…

    Tarminator on Tires

Exactly, I have written this before, but about 4 years ago, I bought one of armor- all's new tire coating products, put it on, and was very upset with the inconsistency of the product. It literally was impossible to takeoff with everything that I could think of, including kerosene, three...
