Have an AR Blue 383. Been trouble free for 3 years. I only do 3 cars in the house plus 5 more from family members. PSI is one thing but GPM is just as important, in my opinion. My AR runs an MTM foamer with no problem. Works great at cleaning wheels, tires and wheel wells.

I would try a mild cleaner like Meguiars D10101. I always start with a 3:1 ratio just because I'm chicken to use any cleaner full strength first pass. Anything heavier could remove more than you want

what about spray painting? If it's yours then prep with some 400grit paper and rattle can it. You can always wet sand it smooth. Small enough area so you'd be the only one who knew.
