I just wanted to know, is a cutting wool pad with using compound suppose to take away all swirls/swirl marks before starting to use a polishing pad. Because I notice when my dad buffs with using a regular Rotary Buffer with a wool cutting pad, he's able to take all the swirls off before going on...

My Dad just got the Dewalt Buffer latest version. Now I heard about Flex buffers. So my question is whats the difference and causes of a Flex compared to a rotary buffer like a Dewalt?

Is there a big difference between 3M Perfect It Rubbing Compound compared to Meguiar's Rubbing Compound? Which one cuts better? Easier to use, overall better results?
