Mike after you did Test Spot using Pinnacle Advanced Finishing Polish with a Tangerine Hydro-Tech pad on a PC 7424XP, when you switched over to the advanced swirl remover did you also switch to a cutting pad or did you stay with the tangerine polishing pad?

Im sure other members on here with more knowledge will have better answers, but I am fairly new myself and depending on how deep some scratches are you might have to step up to a orange pad and maybe a little more aggressive swirl remover. on my daily driver I used a cutting pad with megs...

Mike just wondering other than coming on the forums each time to search for the answers, How can I tell or is there a way to figure out if the swirl remover or polish that you are buying or have is a DAT or SMAT type of product? Thanks for the help

haha yeah id say that is an addict, but who is to say that is a bad thing. I pretty much did the same thing, just looking for good products and how to's and found AGO myself.

Dang snell thats is a ton of stuff!! Yeah Im pretty sure that stuff will last you a while :). Ive always been into keeping my cars clean but just recently got into completely detailing them. I only have one car but I guess it just gets more of my time :)

No the second from the right is after using the compound. I bought this car used its an 07 so it needs a lot of loving. Im trying to get as much of the rids out that i can. That is why I am on the site to get as much help and learn as much as I can. Im using meguiars da polisher with there...

Would love to know what you guys think so far, this is the first time I have used a da polisher and really tried to clean the paint. Just finished with ultimate compound over the whole car. Next up M205. Front door is done in the last pic but not the back. Any advice would love to hear it.

Thanks marc for the help. One more quick question as I am very new to this and just bought my first da to try using. So does this mean the backing plate is actually a little bigger than 6"? and what about if I stepped it up to a 7" pad, or would this then be too big a pad for the plate?

I have a question and was hoping someone could help me out as I can't seem to find the answer. I just purchased meguiars DA polisher with backing plate W68DA, now is this backing plate only meant for and will only fit meguiars soft foam 2.0 pads? or will I also be able to use lake countries 6.5...
