Product Review: CQuartz Ceramic Quartz Paint Protection

I've had CQuartz applied to my car for over a year now as well. So far, it has held up very well. I am wondering now what the next step is. How long will it last? What's the next step? Do I just clean it with an APC and re-apply the coating? What are your plans to re-new the coating? Thanks!

    New Sonata 2.0T - CQuartz

Thanks for the advice KneeDragr. When I initially clayed the vehicle, there was almost zero contaminants being picked up by the clay. I didn't notice any marring, and hand polished using mother's step 1. I really don't think I'll be claying again, but if I did, I'll make sure to polish again...

Hey all, So I decided on applying CQuartz on my new Sonata Turbo. I'm still relatively new to detailing so any input is appreciated! Here are some of the products I recently ordered, based on reviews: Product Name: Carpro Cquartz Paint Protection (30ml) Product Name: CarPro Reload Spray...

Left Pre-wax Cleaner on Too Long

Hey, thanks for the tips. I ended up using a quick detailer and it worked out great. Pics are here: http://www.autogeekonline.net/forum/auto-detailing-101/48446-first-time-detailing-2.html#post652831

    First Time Detailing!

Hey, so I finished up for the day, here's the final product: Not the greatest photos; I had to cram the car in the small garage because it's raining.

Left Pre-wax Cleaner on Too Long

Hey folks, I just started detailing a new car and got a bit confused. I've been reading up on some products and left Mother's pre-wax cleaner on too long. It's coming off now, but not without some heavy rubbing with a MF cloth. The surface looks great afterwards, but it's really tough to...

    First Time Detailing!

Okay, so I washed and clayed the car, and am on the pre-wax cleaner step. I let the pre-wax cleaner dry a little too much I think, and now there are some tough spots to remove. Do you guys have any recommendations on helping remove the step 1? It's taking quite a bit of time to remove, but...

    First Time Detailing!

Hmm, would it be worthwhile to get the Carpro eraser, or just use the mothers pre-wax cleaner that I have? Just want to make sure I get a good bond over well prep'd surface. Trumbo, I wasn't entirely sure which should go first, I figured the clay would make the iron x more effective, but it...

    First Time Detailing!

Yup, that's the plan. I think I'm going to order some Klasse AIO along with the CQuartz, just to make sure I get rid of the old wax and any slight imperfections from the factory. I'll post some pics when it's all done!

    First Time Detailing!

Thanks for the welcome and tips! After some further reading, I think I'm leaning towards the CQuartz route. Based on that, I think this is the route I'll take: Wash > Polish (Megs step 1) > Wax (Megs Gold Class, only because I have it already) When the new products arrive: Wash (APC) > Clay...

    First Time Detailing!

Hello folks, I'm new to the forum and have decided to look into detailing for the first time. I've always wanted to take better care of vehicles, and thought that a wash and cleaner wax was sufficient. Fast forward 10 years later, and I wish my car looked more like it did when I first...
