Did your invoice have sales tax stated?

My guess is they are going to claim a resale exemption since they will sell the customer the car and claim the cost of your services are include in the price of the car. But they need to provide you with a resale exemption to do this. Being a dealer they have one.

A DBA doesn't get a tax Id it's more or less just letting the state know you are doing business under a name other than your own. You only get a tax id(ein) if you incorporate or form an LLC. Your tax Id under a dba would be your ss#.

The penalty is only 10% and they only takeout 20% for federal. State is probably around 5%. There is no way you are paying 33% in federal taxes 20% is probably too high also.

How do you come up with 48% if you take out of your retirement account.

The baby car seat will ruin your back seat since the car seat has to be extremely tight. I have a seat saver from babys r us underneath it but it doesn't save it 100%. It's more of an issue with toddler seats than infants. If it makes you feel any better your new car will probably never know...
