    Vacuuming Problems

Thanks for all the answers. I stated that I had a Metro air attachment in error. It is actually a Tornador attachment. I too did not find it worked that well. One thing I did learn with it was that I had to turn down the air pressure. I am away at the moment, but once back I will be exploring...

    Vacuuming Problems

Due to living in a very rural area, I am faced with largeamounts of gravel on the vehicle floors. After vacuuming there are alwaysgreat quantities of sand still left deep within the carpet. At present I vacuum (6 HP) thecarpet numerous times using both a brush (agitate carpet) and rubber mallet...

    They Don't Makem....

Due to the way society is today, they would have a warning label on the spoiler. It would show that you should not sit on it while the car is in motion. Go Figure ;)

    Hoping to Switch APC

Thanks for all the replies. I am looking to use it on the interior for the cloth seats (when extracting), dash and doors. I guess my next step would be to check the suggested products reviews.

    They Don't Makem....

Saw these pictures on the net and thought I would share them. Can you imagine the damage if you did anything similar to one of todays vehicles.

    Hoping to Switch APC

I am looking for a new APC. I have been using Optimum Power Clean, but find that I do not like the smell that it leaves. The smell does remind me of something that is not very pleasant. Smell is very subjective, so I will refrain from stating it here. I must add that I am very pleased with OPC...

IronX did I do something wrong??

Thanks to everyone for responding. Since doing that truck, I have started using a sponge to spread the product. In the future I will adapt a number of the suggested I have received.

IronX did I do something wrong??

Before applying IronX I always give the vehicle a good wash. To cut down on the amount of product used, I will do as suggested and clay before instead of after. Thanks.

IronX did I do something wrong??

I clayed after the applications. I know the owner personally, but I am concerned that there could be an issue with others in the future. Due to the amount of IronX used, I doubt that someone else would appreciate the amount of cost and work involved. Mike

IronX did I do something wrong??

Hi I am wondering if I could have done something different. The truck is used for pulling a trailer, which explains the build up of brake dust. It took me four applications of IronX before the truck was decontaminated. Obviously it was a costly procedure and luckily the customer was not hesitant...

    WD40 Uses...

When I owned a school bus company one of my drivers (from out of town) mentioned that she was helping her husband with their truck. They had been using WD40. She had arthritis quite bad in her hands and noticed (once back in the house) that the pain had completely disappeared. At that time I...

How can I polish varnished wood to a nice finish?

I am not certain if this is of any use to you. Whenever I have done any wood varnishing, to eliminate lap marks I do the following. I put the varnish in a small plastic container and then have it floating in a second larger container. The second container has hot tap water in it. Due to the...

    Pad Size why 5.5 in.??

Hi Swanicyouth, thanks for the reply, I have not had time to get back at it today, but will in just a bit. Thanks for the warning with the yellow pads. I’ve made my mind up that I am being far too picky with my car. With my nose pressed up against the paint, I will always see some flaws. I...

    Pad Size why 5.5 in.??

Hi Mike, your description of 18 section passes would be correct. To make sure we are talking about the same thing. If by swirls you mean scratches caused by the use of the DA, I do not have any. What is left are a few random deeper scratches. I watched all your videos and am following them to...

    Pad Size why 5.5 in.??

Thanks Mike, like I said a few weeks back when I registered, this is one excellent forum. An update from today: the 5 ½ inch pads are much more efficient than the 6 ½. It still seems to be taking more time than it should. I have a very slow arm speed and small working area, but have to go over...

    Pad Size why 5.5 in.??

Other than the time element, the work that I have done so far with the 105 has been pleasing. A couple of friends that have seen the work in progress, have stated that I should just LSP it from there. Knowing that 105 is an aggressive compound, that is out of the question. As with all projects...

    Pad Size why 5.5 in.??

Thanks BobbyG and Buckskincolt for the advice. I will use the white pads with the Meg’s 205 to top off the 105. Any suggestions pertaining to my question about today’s detailing? This is an excellent site and the members are extremely helpful. After saying that the only draw back is that the...
