    Wheel weight adhesive inside rim

If you can get to a tire supply shop, get some tire buff spray. Its an alcohol-solvent mix. Just spray on, wait 15 seconds and it rubs right off. I've used brake clean as well, just dont let it sit on the surface too long.

    How "you" apply to pad

I give my pad(s) 2-3 shots (trigger pulls) of pad conditioner and 8 pea sized drops of product to start. Then I go back to 4-5 drops of product. Has worked great so far, I've tried the X pattern as well but found I had way too much product.

What semi to full boutique wax for dark blue paint?

Black Light doesn't have any abrasives, it fills fine imperfections like a glaze but works great as a sealant as well. Try some Black Light as a topper to the Opti-seal, I bet it will look way more crisp.

What semi to full boutique wax for dark blue paint?

For darker vehicles I use CG Black Light as it enhances darker colors, and seals. Top off with CG Black Wax or CG 50/50. If cheaper is and option, CG Butter Wet looks great on dark colors as well.

New to detailing...did I go overboard

I have all the same equipment. Prefer the Flex for most jobs, it's forgiving yet powerful. The PC and rotary also have their place as well, I just dont use them as much.
