Your opinion on the best approach to this '17 Tahoe hood?

It doesn't get washed often enough. Like I said, it is no excuse but life just gets in the way - hence the reason for automatic car washes. I took a closer look yesterday with it outside of the garage. Crazy but there are some scratches there deep enough to catch a nail. I will try to work on...

Your opinion on the best approach to this '17 Tahoe hood?

I guess I need to know, how would I be able to tell after polishing if it is trying to fail?

Your opinion on the best approach to this '17 Tahoe hood?

We have a '17 Tahoe that's black and the hood has started to look questionable. Before I go further, I have actually done a full paint correction on a black Corvette, and you can read about and see the whole process where I detailed it here on this forum...

Are there any foam cannon type wash systems that do a decent job without touching the vehicle?

Never heard of this rinseless wash thing. Going to have to do some research on it.

Are there any foam cannon type wash systems that do a decent job without touching the vehicle?

It is definitely a lot of work. Using Klasse is like rubbing elmers glue on, and even harder to buff it off  The vehicles do stay outside. One may be garaged some of the time. I know I'm asking for a lot here, but just looking for something to keep this process from being so painful...

Are there any foam cannon type wash systems that do a decent job without touching the vehicle?

Interesting that Klasse is old news. Guess I have been out of the loop for a while. That being said, What would be a good sealant or surface protectant? It will mainly be dust that gets washed off. We live on a dirt driveway and that's the main nuisance.

Are there any foam cannon type wash systems that do a decent job without touching the vehicle?

I'm trying to research all I can on this. My wife and I just recently acquired two newer vehicles, both black and larger in size. I am no stranger to the whole paint correction process or paint care. I actually did a full correction on a black Corvette I used to own and detailed the process...

Anybody on here willing to give a rough estimate?

I know that it will need a new bumper. I can find a used one or a take off where someone went with fabbed bumpers. Not sure about the panel. The tailgate is fine, no issue there. The panel with either be a fix or a re skin. I'm not sure how to tell what the repair criteria will be. Is this...

Anybody on here willing to give a rough estimate?

Have a vehicle that I am thinking of buying. It is a 2015 model chevy 2500HD. I think the damage was done by a jack knifed trailer. Definite bumper replacement and possibly a reskin of the bed panel. I just need a rough estimate to determine the cost I will see to fix after purchase. I can...

First shot at fixing the black Vette

Well, I'm a little late, but better late than never right? Sorry..I have been terribly busy. I got the front fender done last weekend, and that about wraps it up. I had done the headlight covers when I started the original work about 8 or 9 months ago (see post 44 of this thread), and they...

2014 Corvette Unveiling - 7 pm EST Tonight!

High resolution pics from the Unveiling..check out the swirls and paint iperfections..hard to believe GM would let this slip by! To agree with others, I'm seeing alot of Camaro in that rear end. I hate the fact that the went away from the round tailights, and that plastic...

    Odd question about Nu Finish

I am into reloading (ammunition for firearms) and one of the common practices among reloaders is adding Nu Finish to the walnut media when tumbling used brass to clean it. What I am trying to figure out is what actually happens when Nu Finish is added. What properties might the Nu Finish have...

First shot at fixing the black Vette

Here are some finished pics of the nose And if you notice..my dang nose emblem has decided to self destruct. The red insert that goes on the right hand side of the crossed flags decided to turn loose going down the road. It must have been from the stress of being taken off. I sure hate that...

First shot at fixing the black Vette

Thanks for the encouragement. Here is a pic of the back left fender. One hour in sanding the small scratches with the trizact pad. 36 hours in now. On a given panel or area, if I sand the small scratches one day and buff the next afternoon, it kind of makes it easier than doing the whole...

First shot at fixing the black Vette

Thanks for replying to the thread. You reminded me I need to update. I have been pretty busy / lazy over the holidays, and have not wanted to mess with this thing. Burned out isn't the word, but I have not exactly looked forward to getting back to it, lol. I realized though that it wasn't going...

    Etching on glass removal?

The reason I was asking about "by hand" stuff is because he will never take the time to do any type of machine buffing or really get after it. He owns a business and stays wrapped up. If it is anything more than 10-15 minutes of work he would most likely just not take on the project at all. I...
