Yeah, I have a ton of microfibers. My question was more about quality.
Are the cobra microfibers, for example, much better than cheap ones?
Are cheap ones scratch more likely to scratch? Or is it the debris in the towels that scratch?
I would get the better tool. You are going to have it for a really long time, so get the better one so you will be pleased for years instead of wishing you got the other one.
Are you sure the swirls weren't already there?
I couldn't see swirls on my silver car during the day, but I could see them under even dim street lights at night.

Update: I used some Meguiar's APC 4:1 and a lot of elbow grease to see if I can get this stuff off the trim. Nope. Didn't work.
