Once I've used up my Sonus Motorkote I may try DP Pro Trim Detailer on the engine.

I have DP's Engine Degreaser. I'm still using Sonus Motorkote on the engine. I'm curious how well Pro Trim Detailer would hold up against salt/sand vs the Sonus product. I'm looking for maximum durability and protection. My car sees frequent beach use.

Update. One month later it still looks great. This stuff is awesome. I'll try and post some pics tomorrow. Attracts little dust/dirt. Just had a few days of rain too.

In terms of looks, I think the Sonus is as good, but not better. I think the main advantage of the Sonus is that it actually protects the plastic/rubber etc. because it's wax based. The others seem to be just cosmetic, which is fine, but I don't think they are really doing a good job at...

Update. Looks A LOT better now that I added a bit more. I wasn't really spraying enough. It's evening out now and looking very good. I'm impressed with the finished look even at this point. Two big pluses with this this product. 1. Durability 2. Protection.

It's been 2 hours, still streaky looking. Hope I didn't use to much. If I used any less, I would not have covered enough of the engine surface.

I just used it for the first time today. I'll let you know how it turns out after it settles. I applied one coat (5-7 sprays over the entire engine) and followed up with a second coat about 45 minutes later.
