Yea I've been using the GG6 for 4" pads. Well...maybe I'll just stick to the tried and true G8. It's relatively cheap and can do anything from 1"-3" pads.

Also downside of the G13 is no 1" backing plate. They do have it for the G8 though.

Interesting, so you would go with the G13 over the PXE as well? I just know I've been underwhelmed with the GG6 in the past which is why I went with forced rotation of the Flex. I was thinking forced rotation in a 3" would be nice, but maybe the G13 is the way to go.

I've got an old Griots GG6 and a Flex Supa Beast. The GG6 never gets used, but I'd really like to get a dedicated "mini" polisher for smaller work areas. Struggling to decide between a Griots G13 or the Flex PXE 80 (unless you recommend something else entirely). What do you recommend?

Looking to get a 1-3" polisher. I've always had my eyes on the FLEX PXE 80. Also noticed they have a FLEX XFE 3" polisher. Which do you guys prefer? What are your guys' recommended pads for the Flex 3" polishers? Thanks!

Do you find that the orange pads finish OK or do you have to do a two step process with those? I'd probably use the orange pad on my F-150. Years of not being garaged have taken a toll on the paint (thankfully it is garaged now)

Yea that is exactly what I was thinking. Supa Beast + PXE80 would be an awesome combo.

Idk this is becoming quickly very overwhelming. Everyone has a different opinion of course. That said after many hours of research it seems a lot more people complain about pad stalling and issues with long throw vs those that recommend it. Even Mike Phillips seems to be a much bigger advocate...

I don't have my GG6 anymore. That said, the more I research the more I think I will stay away from Rupes or any long throw polisher. I think a great way to go would be a Griot's G9 and G8 and then add the Hercules. That would cover pretty much everything I would ever need and more, at a much...

Thanks! I suppose I could try the 6.5” pads. I imagine those might be fairly large for smaller vehciles with tighter contours though? That’s interesting to hear the Harbor Freight version is a good machine! Certainly would save me a lot of cash.
