I've never had a problem like this. It's your technique. Your generating to much heat. work smaller areas and work shorter times. I've had my Bigfoot since they came out. Sure a few pads get torn up with use but it's years before that happens. Just normal ware. But never have I destroyed pads...

oh god no! well water is only for your lawn. if your going to use it for anything else you'll need a filter and a UV light to kill bacteria if your going to drink it. For your cars get a DI Filter, very cheep to rent and you'll love it!

20 miles is the maximum. Anything else and I charge a minimum extra $75.

I say get a van. even if you planning on not bringing much. you can put lot's of stuff in a van and lock it up. ladders, scaffolding and the like won't fit in a small car. also your not filtering your water? you need a DI filter, big or small. Tap water is no good.

get a "browning" chemical to prevent wicking, I do this all the time.

you can coat SS and just about anything that will stand still long enough.

I can't stand the idea of using wool to wash with or use one wash mitt over and over and over and over. Wool is for cutting deep into the paint so why would you use this to wash a car with? I use "fresh" clean soft Micro Fiber Towels. No scratches, No worries, done!

your trying to remove years of EMBEDDED dirt which is virtually impossible without spending hours and hours on it. after a good cleaning I use Hyper dressing. spray it on and let it set in the sun. Scrub it again. Spray a little degreaser on a terry towel and wipe of all the dressing. repeat...

use it AFTER you dry. get a leaf blower and you'll never marr it again.

you don't. that's in the paint. as in part of it. sand the heck out of it but it's way close to the edges so that might not be an option. Next compound the heck out of it and maybe you can make it less noticeable.
