    New Detailer in North Alabama

I recommend getting a job at a detail shop to learn the ropes. A professional detail business is night and day different from cleaning cars at a dealer. That's what I did before starting my own paint protection business. I worked at 3 of the best shops in Socal. Plus I was able to keep a rep...

I think I looked into that but it will share your voicemail box. That's why I didn't use it cause I started my business while working for some else. Didn't want my boss to call my cell and find out.

New Business - Rewarding Referrals? Do you?

I believe I read it here. Offer 10% off their next detail and the new client gets 10% off too. This works since most likely they will be friends. Plus, you get a new client and secured another job with your previous one.

    im starting a detailing business

In my opinion those names are way to long. Get rid of "mobile". Its not needed and if you ever get a shop your screwed. Make a list of running detailing business names and another list with industry words. Then start mixing a couple.

    Getting Known

I checked out your website. Here's a couple of things I saw that I didn't like. -Home page has nonething but pictures. -"Hours/Location" page should be merged with the "Contacts" page. -Are gift cards necessary? How many do you sell a month? Just curious. -All of your pages are so short...

Going to a pro to learn

Much easier to just get a part time job at a detail shop. Get paid a little while learning!

    First year expectations

Yes there is many different film brands. Its not something you can jump into quickly, lots of training needed. I recommend just subing out a local installer. Once your customer base is set then invest in an installer and all the equipment.

    First year expectations

I know its hard but if you have the skills its possible. One thing I learned, is if you present yourself to be exclusive then high end cars will come.

    First year expectations

Very happy. I have been doing it for about 4 years now. Clear bra as an industry is growing crazy fast. Margins are huge. Only 1/4 is the cost of film, 3/4 all labor! That why sub-contracting is great. I have been around a lot of detailers. My advice, stay high end! No dirty work plus huge...
