I feel your pain OP. Through a series of unfortunate events, my mother-in-law lives with my wife and I. Recently she got a new Mini Countryman and decided to wash it while I wasn't home. I didn't even realize until I went to wash my car, and found polishing micro-fiber towels with grime on...

    how to avoid wax residue

Never used it unfortunately, but when I'm using a spray wax I'll have two towels. One to wipe off the majority and another to follow immediately to buff and dry completely. I've normally got them in both hands and just go through the car after I've sprayed the car down.

    how to avoid wax residue

What spray wax are you using? I've never had any leftover residue from a spray wax, and I'm positive I use too much to do a car lol

Does every car need paint correction once in awhile?

Thanks for the replies everyone, and that's a good read Mike. I appreciate it! I currently have the Meguiars DA Power System, and like it, but looks like I need something larger that can more easily do the whole car. Ultimately I was curious as to how much a hobbyist really needs a...

Does every car need paint correction once in awhile?

This might be a dumb question, but does every car need paint correction occasionally? i.e. for all you guys who keep your cars in great shape, wash with two bucket method, etc, does the car still gradually build up some scratches and need correction every once in awhile?
