Thanks to all for your feedback. As most have eluded to, I think the 3401 is the right way to go for me. Not a ton of small spots to work on, I could borrow an ibrid as needed from a friend.

So lots of talk on a few threads about 5 inch LC hybrid pads on the 4 inch changeable backing plate system.
Now on AG site I see that the pads are listed as 5.5 inches, and there is a flex mini 4.5 inch backing plate.
Were the 5 inch pads replaced with 5.5 inch pads to...
Thanks to all. pdqgp I like the idea of a spritz with ECH20 and reload apres wash. I have turtle wax rinseless version still. PS my last car was brilliant black, man she was a lot of work. How are you fairing with yours?
Reload was just applied today. Audi Daytona Grey Pearl Effect. Goal was to add one more layer in winter months. Snow, salt, gravel etc etc.

Does anyone have any experience adding a carnuba wax over Carpro Reload? I was thinking it may add some winter months durability. However not sure of any downsides to it...
My suggestion is a two step process...
1. clean / prep rubber with griots rubber prep. Just use an old MF towel or paper towel. It'll get dirty, I typically throw this towel away afterwards.
2. then treat rubber with a thin layer of ultima tire and trim guard.
I'm considering adding a steamer to my detailing tools for use on my own cars. Searched but didn't find much regarding the use of steamers on leather seats or dashboard. Does anyone have experience with steam and leather? Other thoughts?

I have 8 HP master blaster and love it. Izt takes a little getting used to but with 4-5 wash/dries you'll get it figured out.
Very loud, use hearing protection.
With out a CR spotless water spots will remain on my dark colored car but my metallic silver car looks great / spots aren't...
I agree, 1Z Cockpit Premium is great. Spendy though. However I am not really impressed with the 1Z deep plastic cleaner. for interior degreaser there are less expensive options. I like 3D interior degreaser, uncut.

Prepping third set of wheels for opti coat application. It's for a personal car. First two sets were brand new or close to it. This set hasn't been cared for. Here's my prep process

typical wheel wash and dry (including sonax)
Iron X
rinse
CG grime reaper (not diluted)...
Mike- I tend to agree with your theory, although a different clear for that specific paint isn't out of the question. I've heard that BMW jet black is pretty soft. I just got a S4 with brilliant black. I still have yet to correct the paint, but from what I can tell, Audi's have really hard...
