It had clear coat on it. Now it's bare as I sanded it off

They are starting to look better. This still needs cleaned again and polished. Then I am just going to coat it and leave it like this.

I am guessing this is more clear coat failure than just polished wheel needing repolished. For a 30 year old wheel live with it, pay someone to refinish them, or can I safely make them better?

Thank you both. It’s not a perfect car, there are enough imperfections to start driving you crazy if you let them. What it is is a very solid presentable car. I can drive it and not worry about a few miles, or a stone chip. From 5 feet away though it’s almost perfect. :D

That’s true about what he says. I do like it, I used it for 6 years on my Focus ST, and 2 years on the Miata. Maybe I would get the Fuzion spray wax and use that as a drying aid on the DGPS instead of a qd. I would still get a drying aid, and the glow of a wax when I want it.
