tuf shine cracking on new tires

The OP (me) did not have issues from lack of using their tire cleaner. I just put it on too thick. Unless there is something special in the cleaner that aids in bonding, there's 100% no reason why you can't use any other tire cleaner, so long as the tire is clean. Its not like all of the sudden...

OCP vs 4 layers of Gloss-Coat

I have applied Gloss Coat to around 15 vehicles since it came out, and i guarantee you that 5cc on an average size car is plenty to ensure full, even, and durable coverage. Esp if you are using an applicator that doesn't soak up and waste too much product. Trash the yellow pad it comes with...it...

    Menzerna SHCC300?

Excellent. Personally I have not used M101 on soft black paint. It's my opinion (agree or disagree) that M205 paired with a CUTTING pad actually does the leveling stage very well and that's my go-to here. (Black Porsche, Honda, etc). IMO the true hard cutting compound like Fg400, M101, M105, etc...

    Menzerna SHCC300?

I think I saw a Garry Dean video where he did a side by side with a few compounds, and M101 outperformed FG400 in all aspects except dusting.

    Menzerna SHCC300?

as stated above, Meguiars 101 outcuts, and outfinishes FG400 any day of the week. The only downside is that you are left with a ton of dust! It also wipes off with just one swipe, much easier than I have found to be the case with FG400.

    Menzerna SHCC300?

Thanks Mike, that answered a lot for me. I guess the search continues for the perfect compound!

    Menzerna SHCC300?

How does this product compare to FG400? Things I dislike about FG400... -Many compounds outCUT it and outFINISH it, but the low dusting levels is what I like -takes forever to break down (wastes time and is very hard to remove if not broken down) -strong chemical smell Does Menzerna...

    wetsanding via FLEX 3401?

I have ordered the 3M #20317 air powered 5 incn sander, as well as a case of unigrit 1500 (25 pack) and 3000 (15 pack) 6 inch sanding discs (also with foam interface pad) after reading this. Total of $243 shipped. This should be all I need, correct? And common sense tells me the 6 inch system...

    wetsanding via FLEX 3401?

Has anyone ever wetsanded using their FLEX 3401 and the foam interface pad and the trizac or unigrit sanding discs? I really didn't wanna fork out almost $200 for a new machine just for a project, if my FLEX will get the job done just the same. Any input appreciated!

    Which waterless wash?

Not ONR! I know from experience. This picture here was taken 6 months after I corrected/Opticoated my car. I use only ONR on it, and have done so probably 7-8 times now. Still crystal clear and no signs or marring or swirling. Presoaked, let dwell a few seconds, and go to town lightly with ONR...

    Which waterless wash?

Really surprised ONR isn't mentioned more here. Btw...like some have mentioned WW is almost entirely made up of....WATER. marring WILL occur with these waterless washes. ONR ###....research the ####, its legit and there is a reason the top dawgs on the world are using it.

tuf shine cracking on new tires

tires have not even been mounted on the wheels yet. I did a full opticoat coating on the wheels and did everything before they were mounted and put on the car If its that simple, then why has the tuf shine coating lasted perfectly fine on my 3 year old tires? I coated them 6 weeks ago. no...

tuf shine cracking on new tires

I coated a brand new set of tires with tuf shine this week. I did not use their cleaner, I used my own. All the new tire "wax" was removed and the tires appeared to be 100% clean. I applied 4 coats to reach the desired level of gloss and allowed each coat to dry to the touch before adding the...

    Porsche Cayman R engine cleaning?

like I said...it's basically in the interior so there wont be any water spraying. I'll just stick to the ONR...I don't have a steamer or Tornador

    Porsche Cayman R engine cleaning?

As some of you know, the Porsche Cayman is a rear/mid engine car. Once the lid is removed, the engine is basically in the interior. Whats the nest method for cleaning this? The engine is just dusty....I'm thinking ONR in a pump sprayer and then a wipedown. Also...what do I need to be careful...
