    Driveway Detailing: Cover options

Got into detailing more seriously last year - but only have my driveway to work in, as my garage is a storage/workshop - nice and tidy, but can't fit a car in there. It's really hard waiting for the perfect overcast day to show up - hoping that I have a few hours on that specific day to start...

Getting wax off of Black Trim

Even after taping - while using my PC and applying some DP Max Wax.... I got some wax on the black trim, and a couple days after - its now showing up as white residue. For now, I've used some trim gel to get rid of it, but something tells me it's more of a mask then a fix. Any suggestions to...

Nice job eShine... order placed Monday afternoon, in my hands on Wednesday afternoon... less then 48 hours. BAM! Didn't place over $150, but shipping was only $9.48 anyway. Thanks!

Does Poorboy's Black Hole stain trim?

Does Poorboy's Black Hole stain trim? Planning on stripping my weakening LSP this weekend - polishing with PB Blackhole - then slapping my Max Wax back on... anyone know about it staining trim (black in colour)? (I wouldn't think so as it's a dark liquid, and meant for dark cars... but....)

Confused about "middle" steps of detailing...

Ya, that does look really nice... and blackhole is on my list - but the local Canadian retailer is out of stock - need it asap.

Why is optimum spray wax streaking?

I've read multiple threads in here that it can be used as a top up.. It's where I got the idea. It also worked perfectly up until the last two times... Funny enough, it's been hot out. Today the hood wasn't in direct sunlight, but had just been out all day and was warm/hot to the touch. I'll...

Why is optimum spray wax streaking?

I have a black SUV, and use optimum spray wax as a "refresher" to my DP max wax after a wash. The last two times I've used it, it's leaving crazy streaks... Really visible on the black paint. After using a fresh MF and 1/4 of a 16 oz bottle of UWW+, I've gotten rid of the majority of them...

Help decide for new 2014 black Nissan altima

I asked the same question not long ago... Most will say BF, but for the cost, the next best option seemed to be either be Nattys blue, or DP max wax. I did a correction with Meg's D151, topped with DP max wax.... Very pleased. Soon, I'll be getting a bottle of PB black hole to polish with when...

"Beginner" - What are the essentials?

I was a beginner aswell.... Back on Jan 1st. Since then, started reading, watching videos... And with spending at least an hour a day (some days 4 hours) on this site and some others.... I now have a detailing cart, a PC DA polisher.... And a cabinet full of stuff. Depending on how simple you...

    LSP stripping - soaps/foam cannon

Now THAT's what i'm talking about... this is the first time i've heard of a paint prep. I've heard plenty about CarPro Eraser... but knew it only to be the step BEFORE waxing/after polishing... didn't know it removed waxes/sealants. Just did some reading, and lots of people seem to be fans of...

Odd Job: Could use your wisdom!

I think anything less then $50/pump is too low myself. That's going to take a little elbow grease without a pressure washer. Also, my thoughts are APC low dilution, and maybe a coat of something like collinite 845? I'm thinking it'll add some shine making them look good... and it'll last a...

    LSP stripping - soaps/foam cannon

arghhhh.... what a confusing topic - which is exactly why I posted the question. Yes, i'll be using a foam cannon, followed by a 2 bucket wash... not that I have to use a cannon, but figured the dwelling of the suds would help remove the lsp. If the paint is in good shape, then I really don't...

    LSP stripping - soaps/foam cannon

So after reading plenty of threads and forums, it's clear that CG CWn'G is the winner when it comes to taking off any remaining LSP before adding a fresh coat. I know some guys say use Dawn, but others TOTALLY disagree... so we'll stick with soaps that are meant for cars... makes sense. I...

    Sticky dash..... What's going on?

We live in a warm climate... for 6 months of the year! Winters are -10 to -20's, and summers are +25 to +35. I'll have to try an APC... maybe OPC or Griots (as i've heard good things about them). The other problem is that the rear deck is hard to get to where the rear windshield comes down and...
