2013 Obsidian Black Pearl Subaru WRX STi with Opticoat 2.0

Man, that looks amazing. After just finishing a 2005 black Subaru WRX, I can really appreciate the work done here. And you aren't joking about the soft paint.. I couldn't wipe away the compound without it marring. Do you have any suggestions?

Status Auto Detailing: 2003 Corvette Stage III Detail/ Opti-Coat Pro

That looks great!! Could you provide a little more insight into what you mean by the 105/300 combo? Do you do one section with 105, wipe, then go over it again with 300? Then finish up with 205?

Happy Birthday Dad - Sl500 AMG 1 Step

Yeah he was. He was stationed at Rammstein AFB when I was younger. And lived in Kaizerslaughter (I'm sure thats no where close to the correct spelling.)

Happy Birthday Dad - Sl500 AMG 1 Step

So I decided to detail my dad's car for his birthday. He's had it for awhile, and has never really been detailed "Properly". So I decided to take it upon my self and do a quick (relatively speaking) 1 step correction for his birthday. Products and steps: Exterior Wash and Prep: Rims - CarPro...

    Am I undercharging myself?

I was very curious as well how you were able to go over the car twice in 5-6 hours, plus all of the other stuff that you do. I was starting to think that I was extremely slow with a two step taking me normally 10-15 hours of work including interior etc. In the end, it all comes down to you...

Help with interior carpet after cleaning

I completed multiple dry passes per wet pass. The car was in my garage, so I'd say it was ~50ish degrees in the garage. I did place a tiny mini heater in the car with the windows cracked. I did follow up and vacuumed the whole area, and no improvement. I did pick up some Folex at the grocery...

Help with interior carpet after cleaning

I just recently picked up a used Aztek hot water extractor, and was anxious to give it a try. So last night I sprayed my passenger floor with a diluted mixture of water and Chemical Guys Fabric Clean, allowed it to soak for a minute or two, and then brushed the heavily soiled areas with a...

My technique concerning the 3401, Menzerna products, and Hybrid pads

Wow.. After reading this, I totally use my pads way to long.. I would normally use a pad for about half of the vehicle. I'd normally clean the pad with it going while on the PC and a pad brush 2-3 times per half the car.. Wow.. I've been doing this way wrong.

No one forgets their first... Black Audi

Yeah.. I just read through all 34 pages of the Flex 3401 Vs Rupes here on the forum.. I'm still pretty much torn as when I begun. I haven't heard of those pads before, but I'll give them a look. Thank you for the tip!

No one forgets their first... Black Audi

On a somewhat related note.. My dad wants me to detail his black Sl 500 AMG.. From what I understand those have a ceramic clear that is very hard. Am I wasting my time trying to get correction with my PC and just wait till I get a flex or Rupes?

No one forgets their first... Black Audi

He was very pleased with the results. So pleased that he told his buddy who also owns and Audi, and he wants to hire me as well. Of course when I asked what color it is, he said black. At first I wanted to tell him :nomore:, but then I threw out the price of $500, and he didn't bat an eye...

    New McCulloch MC1385 Steamer?

One thing I couldn't find was how hot it gets the water. That really seems to me, to be the biggest difference between these more entry level models to the 750+ ones..

No one forgets their first... Black Audi

Thank you very much! I've briefly looked into the Flex and Rupes but there are just so many models to choose from, I'm not sure which one I should pick up. I originally went with the PC because I'm really just starting out, and read multiple places that it's the safest machine for beginners...

No one forgets their first... Black Audi

So a friend asked me to detail his '11 Brilliant black Audi A4, and I said sure shouldn't be a problem. However, after poking around online, I quickly realized that I had my work cut out for me. They weren't lying. Trying to correct this paint, was extremely frustrating and time consuming...

Help with Wolfgang products and application order

Tati, Thank you very much for advice. I'm really hoping all get to enjoy the fruits of my labor, or at least the client. This car has been nothing but a pain in the ass to work on. Roughly 6 hours of compounding alone in 12 x 12 sections. I'll make sure to post some pictures when I get done...
