I also use a lift. I don't detail that much as far as polishing goes, maybe 3-4 times a year but I do a lot of mechanical work and that is the primary purpose of my lift. The detailing use is just a bonus.

Did you only use uhs after the fg400 or did you try the uhs on some panels all by itself.

I have used the Griot's Garage Pet Hair Brush with great success. AG does sell one that looks very similar. Rubber Pet Brush Cheap enough ($8) where a tryout might be warranted.

I used about 400 - 450 ml on a dry car the other day. The car was an Audi A4 for size reference. I am not sure how you can use much less and get the desired coverage. Since this is not something you use for every weekly wash I am not sure the cost is that big a factor.
