    Building managment banned washing cars

Thank you, I will check it out. I have spray bottle but it does not produce frothe as good as ammo. LOL, its not that simple and courts in my country suck. As long as I don't let any water drip on the ground I will be fine. Once I have my 'cleaning technique' sorted out, I will be good...

    Building managment banned washing cars

Recently my building management banned washing car in premises. Their rationale was people wash cars and leave dirty water on the ground and over time it builds up and area looks dirty. Alternative to washing car was suggested and it is wipe-down (wipe dirty car with a wet towel). Wipe down...

    What are your TDS readings?

Initially when we moved in our new home, it was about 1200, then it dropped to 800 something, now it's around 400 (post water softer). After RO TDS is somewhere between 60-100. I think post RO TDS of 10 is way too low and it should be brought up to 50-60.

Rusted Cast Iron / Iron X / Iron remover

I have started learning how to cook and started using Cast Iron pan. To learn more about it, I joined a community specifically for Cast Iron. Every second day there is someone in the community who finds a cast iron pan that is rusted and needs to clean or restored. People there spend so much...

Metal or Automobile polish for chrome plated.

I have some furniture in house that has chrome plated legs. Some water marks, some dirt extra... 1) Which polish will be suitable to bring back the shine? I do have Menzerna SF4000 and HCC 400 with me. Will that be enough or I will need metal polish? 2) Should I clean the chrome plated legs...

Where do you get your Distilled Water?

I swear to god I'm never going to go out and buy Distilled water. Why? I got the water checked it had Total Dissolvable Solids of about 60. Technically distilled water should have TDS below 10. Medical saline water is free from all impurities. What people buy from stores, could be pretty much...

    Collinite 845 Review

    >>Damp the applicator in distill water. That way pad wont soak up all the wax. I use three drops, tap it all over the panel and apply in a circular motion. More or less its enough for most the panels. For roof and bonnet, it require a little more. Applying thin is the key. >> My bottle is...

    Ah Damit....

Spend nearly three hours on a 'hot' afternoon cleaning and waxing the car. :buffing: Less the 24 hours later, car went through 2 places where there was water logging (RIP clean tires) and on the way back there was a dust storm. Only best part was cruising (in a shiny car) through Lutyens Zone...

anyway of stopping telemarketers from calling your home phone?

Last time someone called me, I kept asking where did you get this number from. When they told me, I asked new questions, made it sound like they are being interrogated. They just get scared/tired and hang up.

Can polishing be done by hand?

Short answer is yes, you can. But its going to massive task. Best way to go is to do one panel a day, otherwise you will develop pain in your arms. All in all, results will depend upon how much time you can devote. Here are few links that might help you. CleanYourCar.co.uk • View topic -...

    VW Scandal

Sometimes I think, do companies think everything is legal as long as they don't get caught? Don't understand why they play with the rules. Study that proved VW was a culprit was made public year and half back. Guy who conducted the study, was wondering with all the fuzz now. lol Coming to...

No time to polish. Is that bad??

Since I don't have DA, I hand polish my car. Last time when I polished, I did one panel at a time. Plan was simple, wash the panel>polish it> seal it. Due to lack of time, it took me several days to finish. When finished, just washed it once again.

Looking to pick up a new Sealant

I have sliver car too. I use Collinite 845. Nice shine, repels water very very well. But with time shine dulls down + have had issues with durability for some reason. Could be high temperatures (+40C). People living in colder areas have had excellent results with 845. Collinite 476s is quite...
