Thanks for the feedback. The walls on the hose reel are pretty thin. I used a piece of 1x6 on the inside to keep the screws from pulling out. The quick connects work great. I like the fireman type nozzle too, it moves lots of water.
The truck still runs great and doesn't burn any oil. It gets 15-16 mpg, but hey, it cost $3500 and it's paid for.
My wife is driving the Colorado. It's a great little truck, I like it a lot. I detailed it a couple weeks ago...
This detail is of my personal truck. I got it a few months ago to drive to work, it's a 1992 Chevy with 160,000 miles. I work at a refinery and there can be some nasty stuff in the air, so today's goal was protection. The truck was repainted at some point and was pretty neglected.
New stuff: I...
Great job! The black looks awesome and the interior looks really nice also. I may have to try the 360, I haven't gotten that kind of results with my Poli-Seal.
This morning I detailed my neighbors 300C. I wasn't a big fan of these cars, but after sitting in it, it's very nice.
The paint was in pretty good shape, no bad swirls just some hard water spots and a few scratches.
I told him my price was $80, he gave me a check for $100.

ehuth1 and Justin, I'm liking this "foam, wait, rinse, dry" method. My question is, would this method work with the AG foam gun and the same products, or is the pressure necessary to the wash? I'm asking because I don't have a pressure washer.
what brand of pads did you get?
I got the Optimum package with the CCS pads. For heavier swirls, I use the Optimum Compound with the orange pad, then the Optimum Polish with a white pad to get rid of any hazing and get it smooth, then followed with the Poli-Seal with a gray pad. It has worked...
Thanks
Thanks for the feedback. I used the PC, just like the how-to videos. Spread with it off, spread with it on speed 3, then do the polishing on speed 5. I spread the OPS on speed 3 till it was almost invisible, then buff off with a MF towel.
I detailed my wife's black 2006 Colorado today. It doesn't get babied much and had some swirls (from my pre-AG days) and some bad hard water spots on the paint. The full detail inside and out took about 6 hours.

Thanks man.
I did think of a couple things to add:
- The Optimum products worked great. I have read that some think that they are oily, but they came right up for me.
- I had some light streaking with OS, but one run over it with the microfiber towel and it went away.
- I was a little worried...
Today I used my PC for the first time detailing my mom's 2001 Yukon XL for Mother's Day. Mom got it when it was about 2 years old and since then it's only been waxed a couple times and it sees a lot of automatic car washed. It has heavy scratches and swirl marks on the hood, and some light swirl...
Hello all, I've been reading the site for a while and finally broke down and ordered a PC and the Optimum polish kit with CCS pads. I've always liked cleaning and working on vehicles, but all by hand so far. Anyway, with Mothers Day coming up, I am going to make my Mom's Suburban my first...
