    Your Best Reflection Shot

This is a door from an F150 I did. My client called me panicked that his 5yr old daughter scratched her name in her neighbors truck. I was able to remove all scratches and the owner was so happy he booked an appointment to get the entire truck done. Definitely my favorite reflection pic.

    VW Paint Help

If time is a problem, than maybe your only option is to bring it to a professional. The only other thing i can recommend is to clear bra. Talk to a local shop. They will have a better understanding of your environment and will be able to recommend the proper products. Without actually looking at...

    VW Paint Help

I get a lot of clients that come to me with bug issues. These are the steps i take. 1. Wash the car and remove all contaminants. 2. Do a paint inspection. This is very important. You're gonna want to look over your paint surface to creat a plan of action. Swirls, chips, scratches, pay close...

question about the pad and backing plate

The pad looks to soft for cutting(what kind is it?). Look into microfiber cutting pads. Foam pad for polishing. You also want to try to keep it flat on the paint apply even pressure slow movements. Id recommend brushing up on polishing techniques.

It looks like a problem with technique. whats speeds are you using and how much pressure you putting on. Do you find you have a lot of resistance on the pad? are you sure its the polisher damaging the pad and not anything else?

    Spray paint overspray question !?

although the steel wool is another method that is safe to use, i have found that you have to put in a lot more effort than using a blade. if i where you i would just use the blade method again to remove the remaining over spray. Steps: 1.Apply glass cleaner(for lubricant) 2.using straight up...

The clay is definitely safe to use on the glass. If you need something more aggressive you can always use a razor blade. There are videos online that will show the process using a blade. Ill try to explain process if you cant find any videos

    Deep Scratch Repair

I have been detailing for over 12 years. I have found that charging by the hour is definitely the sort of thing you dont want to do. especially on scratch repair. You can go in and polish out a scratch in 5mins and that wouldnt make you lots of money. My point is always charge based on the job...

    M205 and Rupes marring...then not

MAKE SURE you test for soft/hard paint. I have worked on vehicles before where panels where harder than others. test the area using softest process than working your way up. also if your noticing that other sections are looking better without reapplying polish than working on residue control...

    Spray paint overspray question !?

Based on your test area I don't believe you will need to polish. A polish helps clean the paint of oxidation, and other contaminants. If you're not seeing any "marring" of the paint and feel its in a condition your satisfied with than go ahead and just wax it. The only step that I do recommend...
