I had this exact same issue with my long neck. Contact Rupes and they'll take care of it no problem. It was confirmed defective by one of their technicians.
Unfortunately, the wait to get a replacement has been long. I think they recieved my kit about 3 weeks ago. Still no replacement yet but...
