Questions about Poorboys Polish with sealant

It seems not many have tried the PwS on MF pads and since longevity for LSP can vary, I had to do a test on my own. I sectioned off the hood and the roof of my '94 Volvo 850 that I use for work and decided to test four different combinations of polish and wax. The combinations are 1. PwS only...

Questions about Poorboys Polish with sealant

And I understand now that have let this stray off the intended path.. (Note to self : concentrate on work, not forum..) Those of you who are experiencing two months longevity, did you just spread by hand, or did you work it to some extent? Nobody have used PwS with MF pads? Sent fra min...

Questions about Poorboys Polish with sealant

I agree with you on this. The thing about winter in Norway is that it is almost impossible to wax anything. Either it is raining, snowing or ice cold.. That is why I'm trying so hard to find a combination that will last for six months.

Questions about Poorboys Polish with sealant

I am thinking more than I am writing.. I know that the PwS won't last through the whole winter, but if I top it with a good sealant or wax, it might. I'll throw in a section with just the PwS to see how long it will last. It really is a different thread, but I've ordered a bottle of EX-P and...

Questions about Poorboys Polish with sealant

I always tell the car owner to put on a new coat of wax in two months or try to sell a second coat of a decent sealant or wax right away. Two months is acceptable for an inexpensive AIO job, I am just curious as to whether I can expect these two months when I have to work the product a bit. And...

Questions about Poorboys Polish with sealant

I've had very good results with the Polish with sealant and since it is far between the full detail jobs, it is the go to product for me. I've read that the expected longevity of the protection is about two to three months, but on the other hand, if you work it the protection properties are...

    '13 VW T5 Transporter

Did a wash and wax on my sister in laws Transporter today. Black metallic paint. Estimated about four hours and optimistically estimated I could get some scratches out as a bonus. She is an active dog owner, so the van is just a tool for her. That van is big. Just the washing and clay took...

    Nissan X-Trail

Just did my friends Nissan as a birthday present. Thorough wash and clay, polish with Poorboys pro polish 2, finished with Meguiars m21 and m26. Wheel cleaning and dressing. Trim dressing. Interior cleaning. Managed to use eight hours, but it was very shiny in the end. Didn't bother with...

How to wash pad covered in wax?

I just bought some inexpensive pads, both black machine pads and hand pads and keep them in plastic bags, one for each wax. The pads are already primed every time.. ☺ Sent fra min Nexus 7 via Tapatalk

Which grit paper to get and how to store them

I want to have a few sheets of Unigrit ready in case I need to sand out som e scratches, but I am not sure which grits are most handy to have lying around. I can of course get every grade from 1000 to 3000, but it is probably not necessary. I was thinking 1500 for levelling scrathes and 2500 to...

    Greetings from Norway

Hi My name is Ole Bjerkholt and I live in a coastal village in Norway, an area called Trøndelag. I'm fairly new to detailing but I have been a car enthusiast all my life. I currently own a Land Rover Discovery 2 and a Volvo 850,none of them in show car condition, but I use them to practice...
