Looks great for your first time. The black on your pad could be black rubber you brushed up against(i usually found the black on the outter edge of the pad) or trapped dirt more than likely. If youre concerned about removing the scratches, try a MF pad and compound. I use Meguiars 105...

Thanks for the compliment!! I've always been told that the reason for 2 coats is to ensure even coverage. I applied the 2nd coat about 4 hours later. I believe that the instructions on the bottle said 3 hours. Looking forward to seeing your work!! Thanks, Kevin

Tried Menzerna power lock sealant today for the first time. I do say that this product is easy on, easy off. The truck had a super slick feel to it. Now just waiting for it to cure before I top it off with Merzerna CL. Thanks, Kevin
