    Should I buy a buffer or just pads?

    Using flat pads, and was using HD cut, changed to red pads and 3M Rubbing Compound, now it's working fine. guess I need to change things up. HD cut worked on rest of car, just not on hood! Don't know why, unless glass hood has something to do with it, But I would think not. Anyway everything...

    I have a 70 Cutlass with a ram air type hood, I need to buff it out, but my buffer is way to big to get in the valleys, and contours of the hood, hood is sanded down to 2000 grit. I need a buffer that will cut good, what buffer should I buy? I don't what a buffer that will not cut! and foam pads...

    Wool pad on a rotary buffer. If I have to reclear whole panel, that would include roof, quarters, rockers ,and rear filler between trunk lid, and glass, there are no panel breaks! ( no lines to mask to )

    Re: Buffed through Why need help One more thing, this car was wet sanded down with 2000 grit, before buffing. I painted the car two weeks ago, and had major orange peel.

    Custmsprty did as you suggested , hope to try it out sun. will try it on 74 blue cutlass first, if that comes out great, will try it on my 73 442, then my 71 buick GS.
