    Biggest Pet-Peeves in Detailing?

Agreed. I can have a windshield spotless and streak free and then under the light at just the right angle see a smudge in the corner.

Commuting for work - how far is too far?

I drive 45 min each way. No traffic. Have to because no good paying jobs in my area in my field.. But, I love where i live. 16th fairway butts up to my back lawn and the lake is a 5 min. walk.

Rinseless wash, clay barring and buckets...

And as a side note, Dawn is for dishes. Stick with a quality car soap. They are designed to help lift the dirt away from the paint which if washed properly will help to reduce swirls.

    No longer in Germany...

Welcome home. I spent 3 years in Germany during the cold war in a Pershing Nuclear Missile unit near Stuttgart. The town was Schwabisch Gmuend. I got to see the "Burning of the castle" in Nuremberg one year. I know you enjoyed your time there .

    Pearl Nano???

Dave I believe. To the OP: My advice would be to get one of the products offered here at Autogeek. No run-around. Prices right on the site. Customer support is great. If you have questions, you can call and they are always willing to help. Heck, you might even speak to Mike.

    charge for one step

You don't want to charge for something you have not done. With a one step you "should" expect a 60 to 70 percent correction depending on many factors. A three step "should" get you closer to 95% or better. Plus hours more work. You can show this with test spots. The 3 step will get more...

    2x 50ft hose vs 100ft hose

Yes, but there is also science and engineering stuff after the deal. Which compound, polish, cleaners, etc to get the job done with the least amount of work and best results. Science is a beautiful thing! Of course, most people throw all that out the window and just drive through the swirl-o-matic.

    2x 50ft hose vs 100ft hose

Thanks. I was firefighter, engineer, Capt., then Chief on our fire dept. It still amazes me how much that experience and training carries over to other things.

    2x 50ft hose vs 100ft hose

Use 2 50 ft. and only use what's needed. . Friction loss occurs when water passes through a hose. Distance, diameter, and the GPM / volume, all affect friction loss. As water passes through a hose, friction between the water and the inside surface of the hose, and couplings cause turbulence...
