Yes you are correct. The difference between PBL paint and surface, beyond what you mentioned, is supposedly PAINT is a bit thicker coating once applied. You'll get the most for your $ with either the McKees or PBL surface. . They are very similar. You will want to get either lines surface...

Watching the Olympic BMX races right now. WOW the course is FN awesome. Thats one thing that stands out, the course building has actually progressed more than bikes have. The bikes have kind of plateaued. The course looks like a video game. SICK gap jumps, WOW.
