Not to stray to far off topic, but I am a member of a few SCUBA diving boards and we have mfg post, and it is helpful to get information from a mfg or their rep for product releated questions. I think there is a line where helpful information becomes a hard sell and that should be avoided.

I washed, clayed, and waxed my wife's car last weekend. It was very dirty. I put the Grit Guard in the rinse bucket. There was some dirt there. For 8 or 9 dollars, it is cheap insurance that the dirt gets off the mitt.

Is the gel hard to apply?

I don't mind the slight smells, my wife has a strong reaction to scents from cleaning products. If there was a product that cleaned very well and was unscented, I would buy it to use on her VW. Thanks Eric
