Is it necessary to first clay bar if using something like McKees fast compound aggressive cut ? Black paint, no clear coat.

weight I would also like an opinion on that. I bought an extra counter weight but haven't shaved it down and would like to know just how much weight should be taken off ???

In using a 3" backing plate, is it advisable to use a shaft extension ? And if so where can you find a shaft extension that is 1/4" ? I have searched and cannot locate ???? NEVER MIND....I figured it out :-)

I did the baggie test as prescribed. The surface does have bumps, but it is not surface contamination. It is in the paint, probably due to contamination during the painting. What would be the best way, if any, to try and clear this problem ? Or do as suggested with McKee's 37 Fast Compound ???

Newbie question... I just purchased 6.5" lake county thin pro pads. I have a PC-7346 with a 5" loop backing plate. will this be okay for the 6.5" pads or do I need a larger baking plate ...
