Can a foaming waterless wash handle dirtier cars than regular waterless wash?

I used AMMO Frothe from a friend (he loves Larry's products). I didn't have an aerated pump sprayer, so had to borrow his. I personally wasn't a huge fan of it (being blown away). I 'feels' like thin shaving cream when you're wiping and seems... messy? (yes, the product will evaporate) The...

Can a foaming waterless wash handle dirtier cars than regular waterless wash?

Define "moderately dirty"? If it were me, if I saw any type of caked on dry dirt, I would try to spray those area with water first and try to loosen it before even attempting to touch it. If I see a video of someone trying to demo their product on a really dirty car using waterless/rinseless...

APC dilution ratio for paint and tires?

True, APCs will dry the clear coat... same with IPAs. NEVER use full strength APC/Degreasers on paint! :wowwow: I only do an APC wash for my daily driver 1/yr only to apply a fresh coat and do any paint correction along with it. My philosophy is the LESS I touch my paint, the better. I know...

Best Sheeting/Hydrophilic Paint Wax, Sealant, or Coating ?

Hi all, I already have plans to put CQuartz UK 3.0 on my new vehicle in a few days. I know this lasts a good 2+ years in terms of hydrophobic (beading) and chemical protection. However, I've always been on the search for a good quality hydrophilic/sheeting paint wax/sealant/coating. I've seen...

    Detailing light

From my experience, just get a headlight / flahshlight with a good spot light (not diffused/filtered); even a good pen light will work. Nothing crazy strong like those you see online that can burn paper at 10k+ lumens. :D Usually a 5000K color temp light works best... too warm or cool will make...

APC dilution ratio for paint and tires?

It depends on the brand of APC you are using. Most APCs and degreasers are both alkaline base / wheel cleaners are usually PH neutral or acidic. It basically boils down to the PH of the product at the specific dilution ratio + specific surfactants in it and what you want to clean. - Organic...

Carpro UK 3.0 and Gliss 1 Yr Review

Good to hear the combo worked for you. :xyxthumbs: I'm getting ready to apply CQuartz UK 3.0 on my new car in a few days. I know everyone says GLISS gives really good water sheeting ability + slickness. I'm debating if it is WORTH getting GLISS as a topper or not if it only lasts about 1 year...

Ultima Waterless wash plus.... How did I ever forget about this product?

UWW was the first Waterless I used. It was good... smelled like melon soda, which was... okay. Wolfgang UWW was the second one I got and smells like cherries/fruit punch. TBH, I think Wolfgang performs better while wiping down; slicker and i'm guessing the 'gloss enhancers' is one part of it...

Old newbie here - appreciate your thoughts and advice...

@restorick Forgot to add, make sure when doing your cleaning/polish/seal 'system' that you do NOT mix towels (both using & washing). For example: - I always keep a WHEEL only bucket and towels (red) and it NEVER gets mixed with any of my other towels to prevent sand/brake dust from scratching...

Old newbie here - appreciate your thoughts and advice...

Welcome to the forums Rick! I was in your same shoes several years ago and learned quite a lot over the years as an enthusiast detailer for family/friend vehicles. I won't list any specific products, but more general categories and use-case/limitations as I find that to be more important. If...

    Optimum ONR (blue) Updated Formula?

Bruno, Do you use that version instead due to wanting nothing between your current wash + your preferred protective LSP (don't want those other rinseless 'gloss enhancers' getting in the way)? Also, it says N-914 is discontinued! :(

    Optimum ONR (blue) Updated Formula?

Hi All, I've been using Ultima Waterless and Wolfgang Uber (pink) for a few years now. I know they both have some form of synthetic gloss enhancers. I've been wanting to try ONR (blue) for a while now (not the green one) due to not having gloss enhancers for paint-prep use cases. However... I...

Review: Wolfgang Uber SiO2 Rinseless Wash

Question, I've read that Silicone in a wash/prep product is disaster for paint prep. Does this hold true for this product as well that contains SiO2 (silicone dioxide)? This is one of the reasons I actually got ONR and the regular pink Wolfgang Uber Rinse Less.

    Dark Daily Driver- swirls

Spikepaga, 1) I wouldn't wash the car THAT often, especially if you are putting it through an automated car wash. 2) If you don't wash it every day, at least make sure to clean the bumper/hood/side mirrors of bug guts before it etches the clear coat. 3) ANY type of dirt on the paint (not 100%...

Recommendation for a post wash spray/wax/spritz

I love Meguiars UQW / D156. I've read Griot's Spray Wax is "better" when applied to slightly wet during drying process... also streekes less?

Best Product to remove Super Sticky Sticker Residue?

Never used this product... but people rave over Citrol Supposed to melt away bug guts and decal/sticker adhesive quickly. You're supposed to wash it off really quick after use as it is not safe for paint. I have Castrol Super Clean (super degreaser) but never used to remove adhesive residue yet.

    M205 - 1 Step, What Pad?

For LC pads, Compounds are supposed to be used with Yellow/Orange. For Polishes, supposed to use White/Green. Black is more for sealants/waxes that offer a little give... possibly a Blue pad for those.

How long does it take to wash/dry your car?

Takes me roughly 40 minutes every week to wash my car (2017 Civic Hatchback): 1) APC scrub tires + WW rims (let them dry) 2) WW entire body 3) Spray Way entire body 4) Clean exterior windows 5) Spray Wax rims + Adams VRT tire dressing (if needed) No running water, no buckets... just spray...

    Non regretful detailing product purchase

So far this year, my favorites (blown away) have been: - Meguiars D156 Xpress Spray Wax - McKees 37 Leather Shampoo 70/30 - Wolfgang Deep Gloss Paint Sealant - Meguiars M105 Compound - DA polisher /w Lake Country CCS pads

    Would You WW this Panel?

I say you "can" do a WW method on this... ONLY if you REALLY soak the panels, and maybe every 1/2 wipe you stop and change your edge on your towel. All about technique in this case.
